Not so sure this is awful news. If Missouri goes to the SEC as reported and the Big 12 takes Louisville, WVA or both, the BE would be dead. As you wrote, ND is the key here. Are they going to be satisfied playing in the new BE if they are looking for an east coast presence? This would leave the ACC as their best option and may finally force their hand. The ACC would add another team and that would likely be Uconn. A worse case scenerio is the ACC takes ND and Rutgers in which case we'll be screwed but that would be a longshot.Disaster. TERRIBLE news for UConn.
Awful news for UConn. Not only does this increase the odds of the Big 12 raiding the Big East, but prevents the SEC from needing to poach the ACC. I have no ill will towards the ACC but if UConn ever gets an invite to that conference, we need either the SEC or Notre Dame to help us out.

Missouri will be the first domino to fall in this round of reallignment but as is the case with dominos, others will also fall. I just hope Uconn lands on the table and not the floor.
