Kennesaw? They look pretty good. I gotta remember that in March.
Oh yes u do. They almost beat Xavier in the first round 3-14 game with coach or Amir Abdur+Rahim , RIP. I am sure roster is much different now, but it was that NCAAT game that made me remember their school.
I want to catch up on some of these games after I return from Maui :) This outdoor mall in Wailea is nice.

UMass got rolled by FSU 92-59

Rahsool Diggins with 4 points on 2-13 (0-8 from 3). Oof

UMass is crashing out hard but I’m hoping Rahsool can at least show out and get himself some professional opportunity after school
Man, all the consternation about those guys leaving in 2022 feels like decades ago.

Have we ever had a guy leave and end up working out badly for us?

Former Husky Javonte Brown had himself a day with Rhode Island today as they hosted Charleston: 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks.
Javonte is having himself a very nice season so far. URI looked like a good team when we scrimmaged them and they’re off to a 5-0 start with some absolute beat downs so far. Will be interesting to see how they do in A-10 play

Pitt was handling Wisky fairly easily in 1st half down at Greenbrier Classic,up by 14 at one point. But Pitt's xfer SG was injured early on, and their top forward just drew 3rd foul 2 mins into 2nd half. Wisky coming back, now down only 2, 16+ mins left. Kind of amusing seeing a game played in a hotel ballroom with brocade wall coverings.

I wouldn’t say this one worked out “badly” for us being that we won a championship. But Josh Carlton was amazing at Houston. Only other guy I can think of since the Hurley era would maybe be James Akinjo? He was really good at Georgetown/Baylor. Transferred once we fired Ollie and hired Hurley

Yeah Carlton staying means Sanogo wouldn't have been playing basically at all his freshman year, so I'd say that was just a successful transfer all around

Wisky trying to pull away, but Pitt hanging in. Badgers went 0-11 from 3 in 1st half, 4-7 in 2nd. John Tonje lighting it up for Wisc. Pitt in serious foul trouble. Game has featured some excellent finishing on contested layups, especially by Pitt. It's been entertaining. Badgers up 4 with just under 4 mins left.

Not following. Adama had more minutes than Carlton in '20-'21.
Had the years mixed up, was thinking that was Adama's freshman year but it was his sophomore year. So just replace that with his sophomore year, not enough minutes for Sanogo, Whaley, Carlton

I checked in on Gavin Griffiths for the first time this year to learn he's doing nothing at Nebraska. Boy did we dodge a bullet there, granted it seemed like we never had a real chance but perhaps it was mutual. A Top 40 recruit who seems like a fringe D1 player.

3/4 did better than the BE
ACC 3-2
BE 1-2
B12 0-3
B1G 3-1
SEC 3-1

This made me wonder how the high major conferences were doing overall this season.

Here's the season totals by conference.

Record vs high major (# of Losses to mid-major)
ACC: 7-17 (7)
B10: 10-7 (7)
B12: 8-10 (6 - but two of the losses are Gonzaga)
BE: 6-7 (5 - but 3 of the losses are by a combined 4 pts)
SEC: 17-7 (3)

Clearly SEC is having the best year so far in terms of W/L records. Followed by B10. B12 and BE coming up next. ACC the bottom of the high majors.

I didn't even realize he transferred.

There were folks on here livid at Hurley for passing on him/not pursuing him harder.

I guess the "Pikiell Connection" also wasn't that compelling & strong given that he left for the cornfields after 1 year...

Brendan Adams was great for GWU. Gaffney made a Final Four.

Houston-Bama is incredibly entertaining. These guys are all going 110%. Not super pretty to watch but gotta love tough basketball.

Kansas beating up on Duke. 13-3. I assume Duke will make a run eventually. But for the haters saying KU wasn’t good, nah. They’re good.
