There is a guy on Boise State that looks like he could be on of the Hanson brothers from Slap Shot. He is pretty good.

Haven't been watching much. Early indications would suggest that the Big Ten is pretty good.

Man, Richie Springs barely being in the rotation at Quinnipiac continues to puzzle me. 6'9 and fluid and a good rebounder. He's not even hitting the glass in limited minutes like he originally did at QU.

There's really no story there? No injury? He's just not good enough to see the floor at Quinnipiac?

Some guys just don't have game.

Two extremes for this:

Tony Robertson was blazing fast, a great shooter, good handle, could jump out of the building, but just didn't have "game". All the pieces were there, but the whole was less than the sum of the parts. He wasn't a bad player, and there were times he would do something that would take your breath away, but he could just never consistently put it all together.

Khalid El-Amin was short and slow, with short T-Rex arms, and did not exactly have the physique of a top level D1 athlete, but he just had game.

The Vaqueros are within 2 of Wisconsin with a minute left. Possible big upset.

Go UTRGBV!!!!!

I do think they chose the wrong mascot. I would've chosen the Rainbows!!!!

Jay Williams still claims Calhoun passed him over for Tony Robertson and that he would've gone to UConn

I don't know how good SDSU is supposed to be this year but Gonzaga looks pretty impressive so far

They were picked 4th preseason in the Mountain West and basically lost their entire team from last season.

Purdues 29 game non-conference win streak (including only 1 true road game??) comes to a long overdue end on the road. Big win for the BE

K's career > Hurley's. It's not even close. Hurley could pass K, and it looks like he has the skill set to do so. But he'll need to stay at an elite level for the next 20 years.
Its been said before, but here it is again. Coach K recruited multiple 5 star players per class. He should have won the title 15 times. He is classy and by all accounts a good man. But you can make an argument that he is a serious under achiever, when taking into context the teams that he coached.

I do not think Cam Spencer, Newton or Clingan ever regretted choosing UConn and can thank they’re lucky stars that they had the chance to play for Hurley and his crew. On the other hand if a kid wants to go to Duke just because of the name, and be on the losing end of many close games playing for Scheyer then so be it.

They only played 1 cupcake (first game of the season) and now Illinois is the second of SIX ranked non conference opponents in a row. Gotta respect that.
And even UNC Ashville finished 2nd in the Big South last year
