What a game so far - Flagg is REALLY good for 17! Not that we didn’t know that.

Can you even begin to imagine this team with Cooper Flagg? Lololol

The reverse jinx! Let’s goooo

Yeah Flagg has no bag or iso game. This game was a bad look for him.

I’m getting an unhealthy amount of joy out of seeing Flagg choke this one away for Duke.

Should’ve come here ;)

Duke’s roster is significantly more talented on paper than UK and they’ll be scary in March. But Pope can coach, and while I wasn’t very scared of UK going into the year, they are certainly going to be a team to watch.

Duke 4/22 from 3, 18%. Flagg 3 turnovers in the game, 2 in the final minute.

Huge Kentucky fan tonight, always liked their fanbase and I can root for them in these type of games now that Calipari is gone.

Flagg is special, Knueppel is really good, and the South Sudanese big man is really talented around the rim. Still don't like their guards or their coach.

Great win for Pope, they were the much tougher and better coached team.

Coach K must still be helping coach this team because Dook overplays on defense and it led to a ton of back door layups and dunks for UK in the 2nd half. Having your 3 best players be freshman with a coach who can’t coach isn’t exactly a recipe for success these days. As I pointed out earlier in this thread, Dook had some major ball handling issues even before James went out. Dook completely relied on Flagg creating off the dribble and while he is quick, he lacks physical strength and his handle is less than great…cost them the game.

Ugly ending for Duke, but they’re going to have some of these stretches early in the year. A lot of freshmen carrying a big load there. Still think they’ll be much more dangerous by tournament time.

If K was coaching this team they win by 15.

As others have mentioned, I can now easily root for Kentucky with The Squid now at Arkansas. Pope is a good coach and obviously very intelligent as he attended Columbia Medical School for three years until he decided to go into coaching.

Good early season game and Flagg will improve once he cuts down his turnovers with experience. He has all the tools.

Love Pope’s offense, Kentucky is a fun team to watch this year. I put more of the blame on Scheyer, run a pick and pop with Flagg/knuppel and go with whoever has the mismatch. Too much iso at the end.

Seems to be a mental health crisis, posted a disturbing message to his IG
It's sad. His speech is slurred, he's paranoid, he looks terrible, and he seems to be living in a large house with no furniture.
