There will probably be games where Zeke Mayo shoots 3-13, but man that guy is fun to watch go get a bucket

KU not playing well and UNC is hitting shots. Didn’t like some recent foul calls but overall can’t complain. Carolina defense has really picked up.

I'm sure KU will get some of that good ole Phog magic soon.
Not tonight. The refs are making bad call after bad call, all in Carolina’s favor. They are living at the line.

Alabama in a 2nd half dog fight with Arkansas St. I think what we are seeing is teams struggling early in the season due to the lack of continuity on rosters.

That is exactly what it is, but still Bama should not be struggling with that meager cupcake.

CCSU beats St. Joes in Philly, 73-67.

Pat Sellers and CCSU have now won 2 straight against A-10 opponents.

He's a good coach. Shame you all couldn't finish off PC.

I said what I said, lol, seriously though nice close by KU overall.

Really? At Creighton and Missouri later. Neutral vs Duke and Michigan State. Last year at Illinois and Indiana, and Marquette, Tennessee and Kentucky neutral. They don’t schedule soft.
When I say big games I'm talking top 10 teams. The only teams that matters that you mentioned is duke, Tennessee and Marquette.

Thought Kansas and North Carolina looked awesome tonight. Some serious athletes, high flyers , big shots and awesome dunks by both teams.

That’s just stupid. Rankings change all year. You schedule way ahead of any of that. Whine about Duke which never plays tough teams on the road.

Should they be struggling, no. But Arkansas State is not a cupcake, they're a borderline top 100 team who is the favorite to win the Sun Belt

That doesn't mean anything. First of all preseason predictions have some value but largely should be taken with a pound of salt. Secondly when has a Sun Belt team done anything of significance besides James Madison last year and maybe Georgia State when they had Ron Hunter as coach? They are cupcake, especially in comparison to what Alabama has. If they beat Memphis later this season or they produce a stellar W-L record, then I will reconsider that label.

Admittedly, you agreed Alabama shouldn't be struggling with them. What do you think the reaction on the Boneyard would be if UConn struggled at home against Arkansas St? The postgame thread would easily break 15 pages.

The lob off of the backboard in the halfcourt was crazy

Form those highlights that guy looks like a straight up baller. How the hell did BYU find this guy and recruit him over other schools? Is it because of their deep pocket NIL? I know their NIL is putting them in position to land AJ Dybansta.

Deep pockets, he is one of the top Euro prospects for his age group. Him and the Lithuanian playing for Illinois didn't come cheap.

Yeah he was very well known. He was on Real Madrid's (top Euroleague club) B team and got called up to the A team once or twice. After the Adidas Next Gen tournament in May, which his team won over Nolan Traore's team and he had 26/11/6 in the championship game, he stated he'd go to college and BYU paid up. Rumored NIL of 1.5 million, including like 600k as a buyout to Real Madrid. So personal NIL probably in line with similar top players, but the buyout pushed it into "deep pockets only" range.

But you're using cupcake in a way that nobody does. Cupcakes are the games that you're expected to win by 40+ and are the bottom ranked teams. They're not the solid mid majors on the schedule. That's the only thing I was calling out, everything else you posted is just nonsense moving the goalposts

Buter lost to Austin Peay 66-68 last night which isn't a great look for them. There was a cool highlight from Hansel Enmanuel, whose name a few of you might recognize from his high school highlights. Hansel lost one of his arms in an accident when he was 6 and still made it to the D-1 level. Here's a highlight from him last night:
