That's the knee she had the ice pack on, so unfortunately it's likely. Hopefully, it's just a tweak and not a tear.

I lost one mensicus through repeated tears...very painful and it would fill up with fluid after about 20 minutes of running around...I hope she does better than I did...she's had a very good year so far...

We all knew that Skylar was a terrific player. What is there to hate? She works hard has wonderful BB IQ and delivers in crunch time. Clearly the dominant player on their team and makes others look better.
normally happens to the player that leads her team to victory over UConn

Yeah, this ol' Boneyard is so full of haters, unlike you and me DC. We're better than that.

Say, I hear the Candice Wiggins, Sylvia Fowles and Alison Bales hate clubs will hold a joint meeting at halftime tonight. Fifteen paces to the right of the Carvel stand.

Be there. We'll take names.

Does it convene before or after the McCarthy hearings?
Before. Then we hold the hearings and announce the number of (unidentified) Yarders who are card-carrying members of the hater clubs.

I hear the Nneke Ogwumike haters were a late scratch. Lost their cards or something.

How could you forget Ivory Latta, Jessica Foley and Sameeka (unsure of spelling) Randall? Or the Frese?

This is about all the players who led their teams to victory over UConn without inspiring Boneyard hatred. Consistent with DC's "normally," we can identify them as being hated anyway if we want to.

So as a contribution to paranoia support, we'll approve your suggestion of Latta and Foley.

Randall and Frese are disqualified. They really had haters.

How 'bout St John's Shenneika Smith who made the game-winning shot that stopped UConn's home winning streak? We hate her, don't we?

Semeka "Boo" Randall is a legit candidate.

In fact, I'm booing right now just thinking about her. (People are looking at me oddly.)

you must beat UConn multiple times... tell a reporter you're not afraid of UConn or committ a "hard foul" (aka, a mugging) on a UConn player

I don't think that anyone would question Skylar's talent and ability to perform at crunch time. It's her percieved arrogance on the court, and the fact that she is appears shocked when a foul is actually called on her that drives people nuts. A skilled, drama queen...

Stay out of this, DC. When you take it upon yourself to chide the Boneyard for its partisanship, you have to stick with your original"normally" chide and not start narrowing it down to Diggins and Prince.

Cool. So, if a player commits one or more of the following transgressions, we can hate her:

(a) beats UConn multiple times;
(b) tells a reporter she's not afraid of UConn; or
(c) commits a hard foul on a UConn player

I think it needs be two of the three.

not that you CAN... you do (not you personally but..)

What about throwing the ball in the air, grabbing your jersey and yelling - "This is my/our house!"?

good point... done

Honestly, every program has a player like that. Remember Ivory Latta's bug eyes (UNC)? Remember Mistie Bass' incredulous look when a foul was called (Duke)? Remember Candace Parker's pleas to the referees when she was called for an infraction (Tennessee)? Every team has had a player like that at some point. And usually, that player is one that the fans of that team absolutely love while the opposition loves to hate.

How many times did people refer to Diana Taurasi as a drama queen? Was she dramatic? Yes. Did she engage in on-court theatrics? Yes. And when the game was over, what did she do? She waved to the crowd (I still remember the give-and-take with the Cameron Crazies and Geno/Taurasi, plus her "call me" post-game gesture...pretty hilarious). At the time, did Duke fans hate her for it? Absolutely. In hindsight, what was it? A give-and-take with the crowd after a tremendous performance from a truly amazing competitor whose will to win was unsurpassed and could not be deterred by anyone or anything.

And now she gets to wave to the crowd with her three NCAA rings and her two WNBA rings. ;)

Actually the first time I saw collar popping it was by Kara Lawson. I love DT's swagger and the potty mouth was part of that (unfortunantely) but she was right. It was her house.
