Whoa. Forget 2024: Sienna Betts, one of 2025's leading prospects, is announcing today (Saturday, Nov. 11).
Snuck up on me, for sure. ND is among the finalists -- and I''d love to see her -- but she's hasn't been in South Bend in awhile.

Thanks to IrishFan2008 for the heads up over on The Bench.

BTW, the 11 schools she's considering are:
Arizona, UCLA, UConn, Duke, Michigan, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, South Carolina, Southern Cal.

While Betts has had Sienna Betts in for an unofficial, I haven't heard much recently (then again, it's early).
More to the point, her older sister Lauren, considered ND when she left Stanford, but chose UCLA. Were the decisions Betts-family ones or just Lauren? I'm guessing a bit of both, which is why I think she'll join Lauren in LA, either at UCLA or USC. In either case -- or another -- we'll know soon enough.

(If Coach Ivey pulls off an early commitment, a la Emma Risch, I'll be one happy Irish fan, but I'm not getting too high or low on this one. Stay tuned.)
