So, Texas had Joyce Edwards in this weeken?
I missed this earlier this week.
Yes. J Edwards and Taliyah Parker both were at Texas A&M this weekend.

I have no doubt that she will be able to graduate early. But, does she want to? Is the half season worth it? I dunno.Who thinks Joyce Edwards will be making an early commitment so that she can sign during the early signing period? Things seem to be heating up, so it makes me wonder.
I don’t think he was talking about coming in early - only committing so she can sign during the early signing period.I have no doubt that she will be able to graduate early. But, does she want to? Is the half season worth it? I dunno.

It seems like it is trending for the high school players committing and signing in the fall and the portal transfers filling in the gaps in the spring. My memory is blurry but did any of the top high school players wait until spring this past season?Who thinks Joyce Edwards will be making an early commitment so that she can sign during the early signing period? Don’t 99% sign during the early signing period?
I don't keep up with that but it does seem to be trending that way. Early enrollment is also trending upwards for sports like Football.Don’t 99% sign during the early signing period?
I wonder if this could become a trend so they can set up their NIL deals faster and start cashing in.Who thinks Joyce Edwards will be making an early commitment so that she can sign during the early signing period? Things seem to be heating up, so it makes me wonder.

Ionescu took into June before she committed to Oregon.Last top player I remember waiting until April was Aja Wilson.

Because Joni is an elite coach and A&M has good academicsWhy would Edwards visit TAMU?
Very likely she had developed a relationship with Joni when she was coaching at UGA.Why would Edwards visit TAMU?

I will say, I'll be shocked if Edwards ends up somewhere other than SCAR or Stanford. The former is so obvious as the local option with a top coach and team, and Edwards (and her family) have emphasized education enough that it feels like but for the SCAR connections, we'd be a natural pick for her. Haven't followed SCAR's recruiting pipeline, so not sure how crucial she'll be for them, but because we can't really grab many transfers, and we've whiffed on a number of other top recruits lately, landing her would go a huge way towards securing our transition in the post-Hulls/Jones/Brink era.Because Joni is an elite coach and A&M has good academics

I think that depends on whether the player is depending on team linked deals or individual deals. For the best players, it's probably the individual deals and the companies will probably want to know the school chosen before they make offers. From what I see, Paige and Azzi especially have individual deals not team deals. I think role players would be more interested in team deals.Or the opposite could hold tree. Holding out until the Spring or even later could result in a bidding war where the most desperate (needy) program comes up with a huge offer at the 11th hour . . .

For instance a regional company on the east coast isn't going to sign a deal with a player committing to Oregon.
They were just an example of top players I know who have pretty diverse individual NIL contracts that aren't tied to UConn. They have their own representation and I would assume that most top recruits do too. But, weren't those 2 already signed to UConn before NIL ever became a thing to entice high school recruits? Things keep changing with NIL as far as how quickly it starts. Some high school recruits already have huge followings on social media that perhaps influence the quantity/amount of NIL some entity is willing to commit to them (if they sign with said school).
Ka'Shya Hawkins commits to Syracuse, becoming the third member of Lutheran High's vaunted starters of the Class of 2024 to choose a as school, after Syla Swords (Michigan) and Kate Koval (Notre Dame). Only PG Kayleigh Heckel has not chosen a college as of this point.
