I don't see Feagin as a wing, necessarily, but she has some handle and range to build on.

I don’t think we’ll see anything similar to the days of the UConn and Tennessee dynasties of the past. There are too many hotspots in different parts of the country for WBB to go back to just one team dominating. I think those days are gone. But what I am looking forward to is SC continuing to be one of the top programs in the country with a legitimate shot at a title year after year.
I think Key could play 4 pretty easily. particularly after getting stronger.
If this is true Rivers is a huge get for SC. Pair her with Boston for 2 years and that is a formidable duo.
There are really 4 finesse & very similar player remaining in the 2021 class my predictions:
Fegin- South Carolina
Lattimore- Notre Dame
Hollingshead- Georgia
Key- Tennessee
Deliberately not including Iriafen in this because her game appears to be more power. Last I heard UCONN was still interested in Hollingshead and Iriafen. Recently wrote that Hollingshead really bulked up and can now legit play power game at 4 or 5. Me thinks that Iriafen stays on the West coast Cal, Stanford, UCLA Oregon?. Don't think UCONN will be too disappointed in not getting either Iriafen or Hollingshead because UCONN has DeBerry coming in with a similar finesse game and Brady comes a year later to add the power.
BTW Brady is legit! Her ceiling is a cross between Wilson and Boston and her floor being Morgan Tuck.

Let's hold off on that just yet. First, the current dynasty is not necessarily over. Second, need to win a few more before anyone can talk about the "next dynasty." (and no, this past year does not count as a "win")
Id count it as a win .The best season they have had in Gamecock history. Not that im happy about it im just recognizing the roll dawn has been on lately with recruiting. They have become the new power of the south. Sorry LV's :(

The current dynasty is?

UConn has won four of the last seven National Championships and has been in 12 straight Final Fours. Call me when any other team reaches that level.
:eek:I don't have a good number to reach you, when & if that ever happens we are both likely to be 6 ft under. Since dynasties actually do end and also considering 3 different teams (was likely going to be 4 ) have won championships since UCONN won its last, perhaps you should call me when UCONN win's its next.

South Carolina quietly setting up to be the next dynasty.
Not so quietly.

It's been pretty apparent since they signed that stellar 2019 recruiting class.

I won't get into the semantics debate about "dynasty" but right now they are set up to be a perennial power for a long time.

If I was power ranking which programs have the best outlook for the next four years, UConn and SCar would be 1 and 2 (not sure in which order).

What about Oregon? I believe 5 top 20 recruits headed that way.

Didn’t Lattimore cut her list to 3 schools not named Notre Dame?

This recruiting thread has taken a major turn.

There is a core group of teams that will be title contenders for the near future, the same programs recruit extremely well every year and are coached well. UCONN, Oregon, SC, Baylor, Stanford, Louisville all recruit at a high level each year and have good coaches. I think ND potentially can get back there too, Ivey is off to a great start with this recruiting class. I would love to include Maryland but Brenda can't go one season without losing her star players.

I don't know how many schools were on her latest list, but ND wasn't one of them.

That was before the coaching change but I am not aware of any info suggesting ND is back in the mix.

I suspect ND is done recruiting 2021s and will focus their post recruiting efforts on 2022s such as Miles and Citron's U16 teammates and Ft. Wayne's Ayanna Patterson.

Exactly, three different teams have won since UConn last won. And UConn was in the mix in all of those seasons, losing twice to last second OT shots. You seem eager to proclaim UConn's run at the top over. I suppose you were declaring the UConn dynasty over after DT graduated. Let's at least agree to wait until UConn misses consecutive Final Fours and someone else wins two in a row before declaring a new "dynasty."

Yes but we need to win another soon. Can’t rest on old laurels. We aren’t Vol fans you know!!

Is 2022 Mila Reynolds a ND target?

I'm afraid I can't agree to that. I don't believe a new dynasty must arrive before the old one is declared over. 4 different champions in the past 5 years is what some might call parity=no dynasty. I also don't believe being "in the mix" allows a team to continue to claim that moniker of dynasty. Mississippi State for example?

Then how about this. Since 2000, UConn has won as many National Championships as the rest of WCBB combined. Does that qualify as a dynasty?
