I think it's hilarious they take so much pride in having 10 teams but at one point they were so into the idea of 12 teams that they, ya know, named their conference the Big 12

I remember a thread on the WVU site a few years ago where they were talking expansion candidates for the B12. They (jokingly?) said a requirement should be a Cabela's in the area. I think it's safe to say we beat every single stadium in the world with its proximity to a Cabela's.

12 or 14 is not as big a jump as whether to expand at all. I don't quite buy the argument. No one, including the pro-expansion Oklahoma Sportswriter, has been able to make a great case for expansion in the last 6 months. It is just an OK case right now.

The tv money from Fox doesn't change if they go from 10-12...if they go above 12 the pie gets cut into smaller pieces.

If I were the Big XII, and I were to actually thing strategically, I would say "Darn, we lost the vote. We tried everything we could to keep things the way they were. Now that we are forced by those other evil conferences to expand, time to double-down. The LHN is now the BXII network. And to position ourselves to be a relevant organization for years to come we are going to compete with the others for the maximum number of eyeballs. Welcome to UConn, Temple, Cincinnati, Houston, USF, and UCF!"
