I'm trying to wrap my brain around the type of person who would create a fake persona to pose as a home team's fan on a rival team's message board. What was the end game? Did he expect to create some sort of panic among actual fans? I've read this board for a while now and find most here to be levelheaded, and understanding of the severity of UCONN's Situation. If it was simply to unmask himself later as a Ville Fan to mock the posters he hoped to rile up, all I can say is wow. What a colossal waste of time. Rusty Husky should spend his free time doing something more useful like getting him/herself sterilized.

Rusty reminds me of that bonehead in My Cousin Vinny who tried to pass off a roll of singles with a 20 wrapped around it. Just too easy.
 
That took quite a turn. I have to admit, I had no idea that someone could be so lonely and purposeless. While his trolling was slightly irritating, his obviously sad life is tugging at me.
 
Is there a support group for internet catfish trolls? Should we start a collection to send RustyHusky to it? The poor guy probably has a dozen boyfriends from all over the country that he met online using some unknown girl's picture and identity.

That was hilarious. The ACC will probably survive but UL is going nowhere. Just ride the coattails of whoever is left after more defections. Or maybe join the Big 12 to fit in better with WVU.

As if it really has any base in reality (it doesn't), but if the SEC is going to expand and to do so is going to break apart the Big 12, then they'll take two big 12 teams. If they expand without taking GOR teams, then Cincy could be in play but who's #12?
 
The SEC had the opportunity to add WVU when they added Arkansas & South Carolina and again when they added A&M & Mizzou. If the SEC had any interest in West Virginia they would have added them years ago.

When the SEC does expand it will be to add the states of Virginia and North Carolina (the only missing members of the confederacy) to the fold.
 
It could be that ESPN wants the SEC to stay away from the ACC, keeping that together (SEC and ACC are its two prime properties), wants the SEC to encroach upon the B10 (Ohio), and that the SEC is willing to go to 20 teams to help ESPN gather market share. If you're not stopping at 16 teams, 20 makes more sense than 18.

If you're planning to go to 20, then who is there from the B12? Oklahoma, Kansas, another Texas team to complement A&M which is in southeastern Texas; you could take Oklahoma State too; but it's hard to get to 6 teams. Cincy and WVU would do it.

If you're going to take Cincy eventually, taking it now and frustrating B12 expansion helps break up the B12 quicker.

In this scenario ACC adds Texas with a Notre Dame like deal, and maybe UConn and some other B12 leftovers.
