Delaney better spend some time figuring out why the majority of teams in the big 10 are below 50 in the rankings. You can have all the tv's you want to but if you want them on you need better football.
Absolutely, the Big 10 is down in football right now. But football isn't what keeps conferences healthy and growing. There's a reason you never really hear about anyone leaving or possibly leaving the Big Ten.
A lot of the traditional football programs in the Big Ten are down. But with the right hires, they should be right back to being a top football conference.
Penn State- The sanctions are coming off. Recruits should be returning. Hopefully they grow.
Michigan- They need to get the right coach. I think they can.
Nebraska- Will have to wait and see about Riley. But again, with change comes opportunity.
Wisconsin- Gary Andersen was a solid coach. Should be interesting to see who their next hire is.
Minnesota showed major growth this year. MSU and OSU are going to be strong for awhile.
The Big Ten doesn't need every team to be great in football. No conference has that. But if just a couple programs with rich traditions return to a high level, the Big Ten will be fine.
The BIG champion still made the playoffs anyways and I don't see the conference being much weaker than it was this year.
