Cronin is a snake. Read today's quotes about the game yesterday, completely about the failure of his team with little to no credit given to the opponent. Every coach is unhappy with their team after a loss but saying they didn't come to play after outrebounding us by 10? Oh yeah they ran bad offense.
Maybe you should have watched his post game interview. Gave plenty of credit to UConn. He said that early in his career he would have been happy to keep it close with UConn and it is a complete joke that his players thought they would just walk in and beat UConn on their home floor. He saw this coming all week, said his players were arrogant without cause. Maybe you should put the tinfoil hat away my friend...

I obviously don't comment much, but having sat pretty close to the Cincinnati bench today, I need to weigh in. I lost all respect forCronin. He could (should ) easily have had three technical's. The two would be when he completely lost it. Kevin got two quick ones in a similar situation and he didn't even try to bench slam his assistant. The third sometime later when a ref warned him after he stomped the floor . He complains on every call, even those on the far end of the floor where he can't possibly see.
Having said that, I actually think he gained 5 or 6 points for his team with his antics. He was continually distracting them in conversation during play. They were even coming over to him with their arm around him to explain almost every call.

Saw the same with the love fest and hugging, this guy should have been toast for shoving his assistant for doing his job. That is probably why the assistant did not tell him later he had six men on the floor LOL! I thought Jackson was going to pick him up like a child and bring him back to his seat but did not. He did shove him in the back though.

Been watching the game for decades and never saw a coach work so hard to get a T, or tossed only to be left on the bench to witness the final result. It was laughable to see a warning given to both benches a bit after this. It is one thing to inspire your team and keep the officials on their toes, it is another to continually look like a fool and embarrass a university openly shopping for an elite conference.
Valentine heard something and decided he was not going to give the clown what he wanted. Cronin did UCONN a favor as this goes viril...

Yeah this from a Cincy fan:eek:………look at it from another perspective kobe's - he is not giving us credit at all rather saying his guys didn't come to play at all……..they played hard and didn't shoot well. We shot crappy and played hard also……it was a dog fight with neither team playing well at all on O, we were lucky enough to make a couple more plays. This wasn't anyone coming in arrogant it was 2 teams fighting for their lives to win a game. Not saying he was a in the post game conference but whatever he says doesn't take away from the he was during the game. Especially to his own asst coach!

As Minidarren said in an earlier post. Cronin acted like a man possessed from the opening tip. One thing I'm surprised hasn't been noted, other than in passing. With the recent focus on Mike Rice and similar situations with coaches , it will be interesting to see if Cincinnati takes any action. Physically pushing a player and an assistant coach during a game is pretty serious in my mind. How many of you on this board could get away with doing that at work?

Thought he made himself, his team, and his school look like clowns.

Both his players and his coaches deserve an apology for his unprofessionalism.
