Exactly, visit will be more special for the cousins. Could be by design. I think they will close patrick and have an exceptional class. I cooper joins will be number one classVery happy with the two guys we have coming to First Night, quality over quantity.
I think it took Danny awhile to appreciate at our level how important (essential) it is to have great Bigs. He definitely gets it now after Adama changed the landscape.
Dream scenario is that this weekend goes so well he commits to the staff but they tell him to go take that Duke visit next weekend before announcing so he can bring Cooper back to Storrs with him.
It’s not what you do it’s what you say??? I don’t think I’ve ever heard that espoused as a strategy in my life. You don't know that, in fact many of the players I coached in soccer had individualized perks at many lower level D1 and some D2 schools. It's not a hard thing to do. UConn men's BB staff is good, but they aren't heads above most others - it's not what you do it's what you say, and the UConn staff seems to be saying the right things to most of these kids.
Can't imagine what schools like Bama, Michigan, etc. (even Dook) do with unlimited from boosters.
Camerawork was terrible. They could have done coaches interviews while showing skills contest. They kept switching to close ups during three point shooting contest and couldn’t see if shots went in.Really glad we got 30 minutes of Joe Zone instead of watching the team skills competition and dunk contest
that was painfulReally glad we got 30 minutes of Joe Zone instead of watching the team skills competition and dunk contest

We won because we said we would, not because we actually did?? What are you people talking about??Totally, because you know some people that “had individualized perks” (I never said they didn’t) that means every staff is equally good at official visits and also all do the exact same things.
Also, everyone knows the legendary phrase “it’s not what you do, but what you say that matters” and that is exactly why UConn just won a chip.
That is the fault of the technical director They call the camera shots. Bad understanding of how to broadcast a live event.Camerawork was terrible. Wasn't there a stretch where we led the nation in blocks for 8 or 9/10 years in a row?Sanogo and Clingan are going to be the start of an awesome bigs pipeline. Like 2000s UConn.
Is Tom coaching the bigs? Whoever is taking the lead there is killing it.
And make Duke spend money for nothing.Dream scenario is that this weekend goes so well he commits to the staff but they tell him to go take that Duke visit next weekend before announcing so he can bring Cooper back to Storrs with him.
Was thinking the same thing. Absolutely terrible production valueReally glad we got 30 minutes of Joe Zone instead of watching the team skills competition and dunk contest
YesWasn't there a stretch where we led the nation in blocks for 8 or 9/10 years in a row?
my favorite UConn stat besides the 5 chips, 7 BET titles, and 10 BE chips.Wasn't there a stretch where we led the nation in blocks for 8 or 9/10 years in a row?
my bad it's gtown with 8 BETs and nova with 11 BE chips. we can tie both this year.my favorite UConn stat besides the 5 chips, 7 BET titles, and 10 BE chips.
EDIT- when we joined the AAC we were tied for most BET titles and most regular season chips but now NOVA leads with 8 and 14, respectively. got some ground to make up.
This is the stuff that most likely seals the deal!!!
I will help. He was joking.A group photo is going to seal the deal? Not that his family is here and our history of developing bigs and showcasing them in our offense? Help me out here.

A conference title is a nice little thing but I personally prefer the three pieces of hardware that we collected over those eighteen years.I want the regular season championship. It's still hard to imagine that it's been 18 years since we've won any conference's regular season championship.
Psssh... It's the eight wolf emojis, of course. Most schools can't get past two, maybe three, wolf emojis.A group photo is going to seal the deal? Not that his family is here and our history of developing bigs and showcasing them in our offense? Help me out here.

I can't remember which opposing player it was, but someone commented "UConn even got a couple blocks against us in our last up line."From March 2008:
Thanks to Thabeet (as well as Adrien and mercurial 6'9" forward Stanley Robinson), UConn leads the nation in blocks per game (8.8), which the team has now done for seven consecutive seasons. UConn's shot-blocking prowess began with the arrival of Okafor in 2001. In Okafor's three seasons as a Husky, UConn averaged 6.9 blocks in 2001-02, 7.5 in 2002-03, and 8.1 in 2003-04. With an increased emphasis on shot-blocking, the team actually swatted more shots without Okafor, averaging 8.9 blocks in 2004-05 (led by Boone, Gay, Villanueva and Armstrong) and 8.8 in 2005-06 (same crew minus Villanueva). Last season, Thabeet's first as a Husky, UConn averaged 8.6 blocks per game. Due in no small part to its shot-blocking, UConn is holding opponents to 38 percent shooting.
