my favorite UConn stat besides the 5 chips, 7 BET titles, and 10 BE chips.Wasn't there a stretch where we led the nation in blocks for 8 or 9/10 years in a row?
my bad it's gtown with 8 BETs and nova with 11 BE chips. we can tie both this year.my favorite UConn stat besides the 5 chips, 7 BET titles, and 10 BE chips.
EDIT- when we joined the AAC we were tied for most BET titles and most regular season chips but now NOVA leads with 8 and 14, respectively. got some ground to make up.
This is the stuff that most likely seals the deal!!!
I will help. He was joking.A group photo is going to seal the deal? Not that his family is here and our history of developing bigs and showcasing them in our offense? Help me out here.

You are on fire lately .

A conference title is a nice little thing but I personally prefer the three pieces of hardware that we collected over those eighteen years.I want the regular season championship. It's still hard to imagine that it's been 18 years since we've won any conference's regular season championship.
Psssh... It's the eight wolf emojis, of course. Most schools can't get past two, maybe three, wolf emojis.A group photo is going to seal the deal? Not that his family is here and our history of developing bigs and showcasing them in our offense? Help me out here.

I can't remember which opposing player it was, but someone commented "UConn even got a couple blocks against us in our last up line."From March 2008:
Thanks to Thabeet (as well as Adrien and mercurial 6'9" forward Stanley Robinson), UConn leads the nation in blocks per game (8.8), which the team has now done for seven consecutive seasons. UConn's shot-blocking prowess began with the arrival of Okafor in 2001. In Okafor's three seasons as a Husky, UConn averaged 6.9 blocks in 2001-02, 7.5 in 2002-03, and 8.1 in 2003-04. With an increased emphasis on shot-blocking, the team actually swatted more shots without Okafor, averaging 8.9 blocks in 2004-05 (led by Boone, Gay, Villanueva and Armstrong) and 8.8 in 2005-06 (same crew minus Villanueva). Last season, Thabeet's first as a Husky, UConn averaged 8.6 blocks per game. Due in no small part to its shot-blocking, UConn is holding opponents to 38 percent shooting.
iI thought one team got favorable calls in the big east…Providence ..and we got the least favorable calls in the the big eastI don't complain about umps, I don't complain about NFL refs, I don't have problems with NBA refs, rarely have a problem with soccer refs except the crooked ones from Greece and Italy, but college refs drive me absolutely nuts. What am I going on about? Winning the BE regular season = developing bad habits dictated by the referees. Then you go into the tournament and discover everyone plays the game differently than they do in the BE. And while that's fine for us because we get used to physical style of play, it means we probably lose some BE games UConn would not otherwise lose if they played more BE style.
I believe Danny started at UConn in 2018. Adama freshman year was 2020/2021. I said Adama change the landscape. It didn't take Hurley a while. Bigs were a priority from day 1. He spent a lot of recruiting capital on Kofi Cockburn and most thought he would be at Storrs, Hurley didn't do like Ollie and search out a 3 star big after he missed on Cockburn. Focus shifted to the 2020 class and Adama and Javonte Brown Ferguson were the commits. Bigs were always a priority.
Record will never be brokenYes
I usually love your comments but you’re starting to sound like a 70 year old cranky pants. More optimism and excellent bball knowledge, as usual.A group photo is going to seal the deal? One of my favorite stats of all time. Such a preposterous record that it will never, ever, ever be brokenFrom March 2008:

Did either or both get a visit to the Dairy Bar, I hope?I am not an insider and have never had scoop on recruiting. But I was on campus yesterday for parents weekend and stopped by Ted's for a couple pops (my daughter is a junior and part-time bartender at Ted's). I was talking to a long time Ted's staff member who also has connections to the team. He told me that PN was at Ted's on Friday night with some of the guys and his quote was "I've seen dozens of recruits come in over the years but none were having as good a time as Pat was on Friday night." Just a little nugget, take it for what it's worth. But at least he was having a good time. The staff member was also told that the Flagg visit "could not have gone better".
