In the moment, I think it had as much to do with expectations as anything else. They had probably been told that the Giants expected to take him at five, and I’m guessing it felt like an eternity until they selected him at seven.

Mrs. Neal shot a look as soon as he said it that made me feel bad for all of them that that’s what came out of his mouth first.

It would be funny if the dad started cornering the Giants staff and bitching about it.
