I hope we get both and continue to have the best backcourt in the country like we will this year.

Adams is top 5 in scoring and assists. Top 10 in steals. Even more impressive is his team is 9-0 when hes on the court 1-3 when he's not. He had to sit out the last tourney while he had finals. got to be top 30 when the new 247 rankings come out. Needs to be top top priority. Our pitch to him has to be listen we view turtle and prince as combo guards we need someone to run the show we view you as a true pg...
Side note (and I hope this isnt some recruiting violation) but hcko favorited his recent uprising mixtape on twitter.

No, they are pretty relaxed about this sort of thing now. Unlimited messages and such.

Not disagreeing with you, but it's nice to have a kid who drinks the same kool-aid that we do.....and that is more likely a New England kid. Prince appears to be like that too being an NY kid. Of course not nearly the hard fast rule to make a great player....but this kid has already been to our march madness.

Crow foot in mouth. One door closes, a new one opens. Enter Jalen.......or Malik...or Jalen....or Isaiah....or Alonzo.....

Both

A Newman & Adams backcourt would be quite dynamic... Newman (B.Gordon part 2) and Adams (Kemba/Shabazz combo)... Add Stone (package guy ;) ) to the equation and I'll be one happy camper!

Imagine the possibilities between Adams, Newman, Cassel, Purvis, Samuel, Hamilton, Facey, Stone, Nolan, and Brimah:D

We'd have to put a 2nd basket on the court for all that scoring! ;) Don't forget incoming bruiser Lubin to set the tone early! My favorite line ups have 3 guys who can score/handle/pass/pressure from the outside - and - bang/rebound/score/block down low. 3 out / 2 in. A good balance in my book.

For some reason I can only remember when we got Drummond (#1/#2 prospect whoever you ask) and without offending anyone, I think he underachieved in his one year at Storrs. I know, he's lighting it up in the NBA so clearly he would've been great with us. But that's why I'm not a fan of one-and-dones, which is probably what Newman would be. Shabazz 4-year guy, Kemba 3-year, both PG's who won us national titles. I'll take the guys willing to work over a one-and-done any day.

I would think that was a result of his ranking vs where he was as a BB player. His ranking was very much based on his ceiling, which is monstrous. He was fairly raw skill-wise and BBIQ-wise coming into UCONN, so it wasn't a huge surprise imo.

But if you are going to be a lottery selection, you have to jump. You have to. He should have realistically been top 5 (not even with hindsight), but for the stupidity of NBA GMs.

I heard from pretty good sources at the time that if the program wasn't in such turmoil/APR he would have been back and was planning all along on coming back. He loved college life. Wish him all the success in the world.
