Maybe ADR is packing right now.
That she is
Maybe ADR is packing right now.
Mulkey will waste her and she will be ADR 2.0
Not a big addition
ADR is in the portal. To be honest I think they're similar players, but I do think Kate just needs to relax out there and the layups will start dropping. Having a year under her belt could help quite a bite, though I thought the same for ADR entering this season.Koval seems like an interesting pick up to me. Seems in a similar build of a player they already have in Del Rosario, slower big body post played. Maybe more skilled I assume?
Koval has alot more skill than ADR.ADR is in the portal. To be honest I think they're similar players, but I do think Kate just needs to relax out there and the layups will start dropping. Having a year under her belt could help quite a bite, though I thought the same for ADR entering this season.
Was thinking about this because the same could be said about other team mates from that Webb School 2023 class.Koval has alot more skill than ADR.
ADR imo was vastly overrated coming out of HS and was more of a project. She also couldn't stay healthy during the last two off-seasons so her development suffered for it.
Not the good ones - Cunningham and WilliamsThis is kind of ironic. Barnes couldn't keep any of her players at Arizona, but now all of her players are following her to SMU?
ASU had a GREAT guard - Robbi Ryan from Sheridan Wy. She was a 1000 scorer and all Pac 12 her senior year and is playing in Europe.Ohhhhh. A guard originally out of Cheyenne, WY. Interesting, didn't know she was having that good of a season at Denver
Idk Rosario simply was not very good but it also didnt help that she was always injured and couldn't train tbh. The writing seemed clear on the way early on this season with that one. When I watched Rosario miss 3 point blank layups in a row then give up a layup for not running back to Texas in the SECT I knew she was out of there lol. She's doing a great job with Del Rosario. After two years, she still can't afford to put her on the floor before mop up time. Looks like Mulkey's going back to Baylorball. At least it will keep Williams fresh.
Velez (sic?) - LSU to Syracuse
Thanks. Thought there were two "L" in her name.
I really do like Miles. Idk if it's cool to speculate or even ask the question of how much money played a factor. I also wonder for a player like her who committed to ND before nil, if she had been able to benefit as much from nil over the past 3 seasons. I really don't know how it works, but would ND ever have upped her nil money, or similar to like the working world, where sometimes u really do have to switch companies to make more money. So Olivia Miles, and Clara Silva, pretty good portal season for TCU thus far. And I do think Nikki Collen and Baylor have to be a little weary. Another in state rival.
Agree. This has to be for personal reasons, which I fully understand. I see literally zero reason other than that though. In fact, It's a BIG step down no matter how you slice it.Of all the portal moves that I have read about, Avery Howell's move makes the least sense to me. With JuJu injured for a majority of next season, she would certainly have had a major role (probably a starting role) on USC's team next year. And she played very well (I thought) for USC this year, at least in the two games against UConn.
Did she and Lindsey Gottlieb have an issue with each other? Is this a financial thing for NIL (seems unlikely since she is not a "big name" and is unlikely to become one at either USC or Washington)? Or is it just a matter of being close to home?
Whatever the reason, it seems like Washington is unlikely to be as successful or get as much media and scout attention next year as USC will, even if JuJu is absent for much of the season. So if she aspires to a professional basketball career, this does not seem like a good move for her.
It makes a sort of sense to me. She's pulling a "Plum." If she is allowed a free hand with that offense, she could be on the D1 leaderboard for all sorts of stats. That will get her noticed by scouts and agents. She's just spent a year watching Juju dominate an offense. I think she can figure it out. Also, being close to home is surely a plus.Of all the portal moves that I have read about, Avery Howell's move makes the least sense to me.
