ND vs Tennessee...or, is it possible for both teams to lose?

I just turned it on a few minutes ago. I'm more than a little surprised to see Tennessee leading at the end of the 1st, but from what I've seen so far, it looks like this game is being played at their preferred pace more than Notre Dame's.
 
Not a good finish to that quarter for ND.

Tried to go with Nelson as the lone post for a few minutes. That didn't work at all.
 
Wow. I see bad body language by UT. ND is getting easy shots, but they missing. They set one pic and they get a wide open shot. It is close at the end of the first, but I can't see this ending well for UT.

Pretty much. ND getting what they want, but bricking it. Little fast for ND.
 
From all the positive things that I have heard about DeShields, she is not that good. Perhaps, she is not coached that good.

Yeah Nan, I cringe thinking about how unconscious they were in 0ur game ( Treys -13-20 for 65%) . Tonight so far..... 3-6.

And all that talk about how they were missing Turner in our game. Maybe the fact that they were missing Turner made them realize they HAD to hit all those threes in our game. Not the same focus from their shooters tonight.

Don't underestimate the physcological effect of playing a lower ranked team rather than a higher one. It happens.

Turner is something less than a threat
Offensively challenged (in this game at least)
Doesn't rebound much.
UTenn offense the way they play...really no difference game to game.
Whip it around for much of the clock trying to find forwards, rarely do
Then take a clanker from the outside.
The same every game
Diamond makes a nice shot once in a while
 
Meh, ND has made worse teams than Tenn look good for a spell (Pitt, for one). Thought that besides the first few and last few minutes of the 1st quarter ND did ok.

+10 in the second quarter was nice. Just cut out the turnovers. Game plan seems to work.
 
The commentators are pretty awful
On a clear offensive foul, so signaled vigorously by the officials
They called a blocking foul...
So bust chatting they don't tell us the subs, terrible call of a game.
 
The Voles are just trying to get Margo's hopes up again so that they can once again dash them. I look for them to score about 15 points in the last half.

Not only that but decided to do it in man-to-man defense - BIG mistake. In fact i was pretty surprised with how much man ND played - what happened, Muffet's video room is on strike and she saw none of the TN game film?
 
I'm not sure the players lack abilty, but I do think they both lack a plan.

I know. We barely can get people to work the game clock correctly. Can you imagine what happens when you throw in a 20-30 second clock at the high school level? Schools that have the budget and knowledgeable staff can pull it off. At my high school, where I coach, not gonna happen. We had a timekeeper walk out, during a game, because the AD could not afford to pay him $100 bucks a game. Dude only worked 2.5 hours, gets free food and drinks, plus $30 bucks! And he wanted $100 a game. Jeez
