ND Iowa ESPN 2 tonight

Well ND is holding serve. Up 14-6 midway through Q1.

ND in control, but they looked REALLY slow getting back on D a minute ago. Iowa pushed it downcourt and got an easy bucket off a missed shot.

ND is pounding the offensive glass. They are missing a bunch of bunnies. This could be quite a bit worse already. Up 22-13.

.-.
28-17 after Q1. Gustafson is as advertised but she doesn't have enough around her to pull off the upset most likely.

expect the ball to go inside to Shepard and Turner all night long against UConn who don't even have Iowa's size..........

Turner is quick and she has nice moves, but she isn't finishing. Most of her damage is coming from the FT line. If UConn wants to beat ND, better keep them off the O boards.

Gustafson looks much better to me than either Shepard or Turner. 5-5 from the floor.

14 point lead has been cut in half, 41-34.

.-.
Wow, the under 5 minute media TO didn't happen til under 2 minutes to go in the quarter. Both teams look tired.

Tania Davis found the soft spot in the Irish D, and she and Gustafson are keeping Iowa within reach after they fell way behind in 1Q.

Arike is a wonderful player and if I was a huge ND fan, I might even admire her, but man, her complaining when a foul isn’t called irritates the heck out of me. Just play the damn game!

.-.
Turner 9 pts, 7reb. Gustafson 12 and 4.

Gustafson's efficiency is amazing but Turner's production has been solid, too.

If that matchup is somewhat close, hard for Iowa to make up the difference elsewhere.

Felt like ND missed a bunch of layups in Q2.

.-.
Bad start for Iowa. 2 TO's, 3 fast break opportunities for ND. 6-0 run.

Sure looked like Gustafson got tripped by Shepard, hit the floor hard, no foul call.

Did Mabrey just say no to an Iowa player trying to help her up
She did. I remember ND played Duke a few years back and Jewell got knocked down by a player. That player reached her hands out and Jewell scooted around and got up herself.

Don't expect UConn or ND players to help each other up on Sunday on a fast break foul

21 point lead, game over. I think Gustafson got fouled again, no whistle. Now an 11-1 foul difference and not surprisingly 11-0 FTA disparity. ND doesn't need help from the refs but they get it anyway.

Wow, Turner can't catch a break. Is her right shoulder the one she had operated on?

Now up 26. I might be done. They are good, but I just don't like ND.
