I think it's time to start a thread. So, Nebraska, the team that wasn't supposed to be there, drilled Richmond by almost 20 in the first play in game. Spiders did not do themselves or non P4 teams in general any favors with that result.

Missouri St. has been in control most of the way. Closing in on beating Stephen F. Austin in the other play in game tonight. I don't think the Bears have won a Tourney game in a while.

Oops, Missouri St. has won at least 1 game in each of their last 3 appearances--2019, 2021, 2022.

.-.
In the Richmond game, Maggie Doogan had 24/10, about her averages, but she got little help from her teammates. The rest of the team shot just over 30%.

In contrast, Britt Prince, one of the nation's few 50/40/90 shooters, shot 71/100/100 for Nebraska.

Prince was 9/13 from two with one free throw and one three point shot. The 9/14 is impressive, but the other two are meh.

Doogan was 5/7 from 2 and 3/6 from three and made 5/6 free throws with 10 rebounds. Doogans overall game was more impressive.

Do you think that a #1 Seed will fall before the Final Four? If so who? I think it will be Texas. For whatever reason I think that Louisville will prevail if they meet in the Elite Eight.

Maybe not, but their roster didn't have the front court depth to match Nebraska's. That stood out to me last night.

Not the women, but it's a great day to be a High Point Panther

Southern over Samford in a 16 vs. 16 play in game. Good, Samford had a losing record, get them outta there.

Samford's Rivera is leading the nation in 3-pointers made. She was 3-9 from deep today. I think that gives her 112, as her season ends. Azzi has 104. The UConn record is 121, I believe, by the great KML.

No drama so far. Duke and TCU with easy wins. Triple double for Miles.

Nebraska dominated when it mattered. But neither team played much defense. Prince and Doogan made lots of barely contested shots. Virginia won a close one that shouldn’t have been that close, given that they actually played a bit of defense. Team chemistry looked to be a bit strained on both sides. Do the players like each other?

I did tell you all that South Dakota St. was a stone cold lock, right? Huskies have started the game shooting 1-13, trailing the Jacks by 10 already in Q1.

Can I start the "fire Langley" chants yet, or should I wait a little longer? Too much talent to be as inept on offense as they are at times.

I’m really expecting the ACC and Big 12 to be exposed outside of their top teams.

Parlay Moses is off to a bad start 😞. I stand up for the land grants and see how they are treating me. Thanks a lot South Dakota State and VPI.

If it makes you feel better, I did have South Dakota State winning this game in my bracket.

VA Tech w/ a late rally, too little too late. Oregon ran away in Q3. Big game for Fiso. I'm thinking the Ducks haven't won a Tourney game in a while.

It was a disastrous start, I had to do something. Looks like, for ONCE, the reverse jinx worked.

Avery Howell is going nuts, she likes playing in March. Brooklyn Meyer is having a good game too, but she's not getting enough help.
