We need McNeeley to play like McAndrew tomorrow.
Auburn has 12 more shots than Creighton - need to limit those O rebounds when Kalk changes the shot. If Creighton didn’t turn ball over and give up all the O rebounds it wouldn’t be so close. Green and McAndrew need to get in there to box out when Kalk is contesting.

McAndrew is the highest rated recruit in Creighton history. It has taken him time to adjust to college speed, but I expect him to be a stats monster next season.

Kalk has not had to face a frontline with 2 huge players in Cardwell and Broome. Other players need to hit the boards for Creighton.

He looks YOUNG. Baby faced at his height. Lots of upside with maturity.

St. John's (because PC is insignificant) is the closest thing to a rival that UConn has and most of this board is cheering for them to win. Everyone will be pulling for Creighton tonight and they are our nemesis.

For giggles, imagine UConn getting the ACC invite. Are we cheering for Duke? Or Syracuse or BCU?

The New Big East is just a "business arrangement" until we can find a better "business arrangement."
Neither St John's nor PC are rivals (although quite a few PC fans believe we are).

I believe that the number of people on this board who cheer for St John's to win is single digits and that includes one non-UConn fan who happens to show support for basically every school in the northeast.

From inception until the split after the 2013 season there was a lot more than merely a business arrangement with UConn and the BE. Since we rejoined, their view of us has been solely "how can you help us financially?". We are basically outsiders in this conference, all members know and accept this.

I enjoy his posts and his dedication to them.

If some rumors have legs and Sean Miller bolts for a bigger school, I think it would be hysterical for Mick to take over X and watch Kobe deal with it.

Where is Miller going? I think his recent stint a Xavier has been underwhelming. His 2023 team was Strong’s players, and the last two seasons have been meh.

S16 looking like the SEC, B12 and B10 invitational coming
There may not be a whole lot of SEC representation in the sweet sixteen.

It might've taken Calipari to get your wish. I know people on here and in the basketball world wax poetic about how great Pitino is, and he is an all time great for sure whose coaching ability I respect a lot. But a lot of the same people on the Boneyard trash Calipari, and yes he has his short comings for sure, but Calipari is 9-2 against Pitino in their last 11 games.
No caliparis teams beat Pitinos

Well they already have 1 in with another 7 playing. Due to the shear volume of what they got in, chances are good. B10 is 10-0, best start ever - nuts.

If Creighton holds on does that make you feel better or worse about UConn's chances tomorrow. Two BE teams knocking off the top SEC 1 seeded is a pretty good story. OTOH, the number of 8 beating 1 occurances is pretty rare (16-59)

Classic Pitino when asked why he sat Luis the last 5 minutes:

“You know he was 3-17 right?? I’m not gonna sit here and knock one of my players”

Always was and always will be a first class POS

It makes me feel better. More pressure on Florida.

But I doubt Creighton holds on.

Neal is in over his head right now. He can't be "the guy" against this level of competition. He has to be a complementary player tonight.

What are you saying? He's on the take?
Nope. I’m just saying you have to try pretty hard to go from the best player in the league to performing that bad. It’s just highly anomalous. Could have been sick, could have been distracted by a personal issue, could have frozen under lights, could be any number of things. Sitting him down the stretch was weird. Just weird.
