st. jonh's faced 3 teams from power conferences that made the ncaa tournament -- georgia (9 seed), baylor (8 seed), arkansas (10 seed).

they went 0-3.

dorthy, we aren't in the poverty church league anymore.
S16 looking like the SEC, B12 and B10 invitational coming

Hmmm... I get Zuby on the panel, he was phenomenal. No RJ "POY" Luis is surprising especially when Rick talks about how much he loved coaching those two (Kadary graduates, but Zuby is a junior). I don't know what's up with the RJ comments about 30 minutes and "you know why he didn't play". What's the story behind this?

Was amazing how tense and off he was
There has to be some back story on this that we may never hear.

I watched Pitinos post game press conference and the questions and answers around Luis were very awkward. Pitino was very annoyed and shifty when asked about him a few times. One time he was asked about not having him at the end he completely avoided the question and commented on the effort and character of two other players. It was very awkward.

Did Luis pull himself out and refuse to back in?

Is he in an NIL compensation disagreement after being the reigning BE player of the year and seeing Hopkins get offered 4x what he is getting?

Was he having transfer conversations with other schools as they are in their season still?

There has to be some back story here because not having the conference POY in when your other best player has fouled out combined with the awkward press conference interactions is really unexplainable.

Yes that’s right: the Illuminati persuaded the lizard people that a defeat for a Catholic school would advanced their program for world dominance!
Lots of money at play..and it’s happened in the past… just sayin

I want Creighton to win, Big East solidarity, but I think Auburn is a bad match up for them.

I have always thought Kadary Richmond was wildly overrated. He can't shoot or shoot free throws, and he basically is a momentum player that has the occasional big game surrounded by a lot of mediocre performances. His agent has done a great job convincing the basketball world that he is more than a role player.
His body language always spoke I’m bored and you are lucky to have me. Happy I had Johnnie’s losing this game. Never bet on a team that can’t shoot (or defend like us)

Luis was Larry Bird against us, 3-17 vrs Arkansas. The zone forced a bad shooting SJU team to shoot bad shots. Glad to see them gone. They have our number.

Plus there is a reason he’s not in the NBA and has played for 3 teams. This is it for him

3 Point shots are the great equalizer in the NCAA's. St. Johns was atrocious shooting from long distance. Arkansas just got to pack it inside and shut everythign else down.
Arkansas shot 2-19 from 3

wow it's almost like the conference of small schools isn't good. crazy idea maybe we don't belong or something

How is the AAC you wish we were still in doing?

Michigan flipped a switch and absolutely steamrolled A&M over the last few minutes. That was impressive

So the ninth place team in the SEC just led wire to wire over the team that dominated the big east.
I guess the SEC isn’t overrated?
yes as Luis turned into Jonathan Starks and looked like he checked out…surely a story will develop

Creighton is playing very sloppy. Neal in particular is real shaky. McAndrew has a very quick trigger, he'll be a threat next year.

They are who we knew they were a team built for a conference that allows physical play and doesn't call fouls. Unfortunately BE refs don't call tourney games foe BE team. Once they got into a game where they weren't free to just beat up the other team they were going to struggle
They’re today’s version of Big East Pitt. Great great regular season teams, then flame out every single year in the tournament.

Plus there is a reason he’s not in the NBA and has played for 3 teams. This is it for him
Pitino has gone on record saying Kadari is one of the most humble and best kids he’s ever coached. I doubt that’s it. I can buy into something bigger causing distraction. Luis always has weird on court energy but it felt really off today. Zuby was his usual exuberant self. If something financial ever caused your go-to not to show up in a tourney game that is gross mismanagement and a bad kid.

Geez watching this Michigan vs Texas A&M game and hope another SEC bites it

If someone told me King on Creighton and Stewart on UConn were brothers I would believe them.
