NCAA Tournament, Rd 3 - Thursday

It’s been badly mismanaged. But ratings are high. So whatever.
The night cap games are much more interesting to most fans than these first 2 games. I think CBS should have had Illinois/Houston in the earlier slot and Texas/Purdue in the night cap

What the heck are the broadcasters doing with these tip times. Both these games are over and I didn’t get to watch a second of the Iowa win because it completely overlapped. Now there’s gonna be an hour until the next game tips and it starts practically the same time as the fourth game. Instead of watching all 4 we get to watch 2.
I recorded the Iowa-Nebraska game from 8 minute mark and only went to that game when the Texas-Purdue game went to commercial.

Agreed. But nothing about the schedules has made any sense at all. The weekend games that were stand alones were the worst choices for those games.

I’m choosing Arkansas vs Arizona at the start here.

.-.

Arizona's beats Arkansas by 10+. I have no idea how Arkansas is going to keep up with them inside.

If Illinois wins, the B10 fix is in.

Much, much more about the portal than anything else. Recruiting HS kids is no longer than main path to winning.

It’s also important to note that making the Sweet 16 became much more difficult in 1985. Still an interesting fact but not as crazy as it seems at first glance.

Is it just me or are the numbers on the back of Purdue jerseys really small and bizarre looking?

Yeah there's zero chance that call's not going against Reibe in that situation.
No ref is making that call against anybody because if some reason he is wrong, then he will be crucified. That's why it's smart on a last play, like that, to try to get every advantage.

The games tipped off 20 min. apart.

TKR held Swain down with his left arm and tipped it in with his right. Even used him as leverage to jump over him. Got away with one.

No doubt that’s a foul any time. He didn’t just hold him down he drove him under the basket moved him 5-6 feet when Swain was boxing out. Got away with it nonetheless.

I didn’t realize the west was in San Jose. That’s cool and probably overdue. Nice arena. I’ve only watched hockey there.
