I am getting bored with the P5 Tournament. Season 1 Game of Thrones Marathon on HBO Zone is more entertaining.

OMG the better funded programs win games? Watching reruns is way better. It might save us some more posts about how the games are fixed.

Kansas is a terrible shooting team. Oubre and Selden are overated. Mason is their best player. Go Shockers!!!

So you think that UConn can not compete with the majors going forward?

With Ollie they have a puncher's chance. Without him unless they strike coaching gold it's doubtful.

Already nailed one 7 over 2 pick hoping called another in this WSU v KU game.

I don't think that was a hard upset to latch onto. Wichita is mature and experienced in tourney play, KU isn't. As we can attest from our most recent NC, there's an advantage in having guys who've been together 3-4 years, even if the talent level of the younger opponent on paper is higher (and in this case much higher).

Granted, Kansas might win that game if K was coaching those kids.

The best rule that could be made about college sports is that whiny bitches can't cry about referees.

if kansas loses this game, what does it say about their run in the big 12 and the state of the big 12? seems like kansas is always over hyped for the most part

I am very impressed with Wichita St. Marshall is a heck of a coach. They are putting on a clinic out there. Easy shot after easy shot and getting wide open looks. They run a heck of an offense.

Also does anyone do Less with more than bill self? What is it, 6 or 7 top 10 recruits in the last two years and they havent made it past the second round.

roy williams?

roy williams?
He's up there.

We always like to rag on Calipari, but the dude does win in March.

Self and Williams have had some great runs, but given the talent they have, they are the anti-Izzos.

If you had a talented team, you'd want K or Calhoun (of modern coaches) to take them into the tournament.

If you had a veteran, team with some grit, you'd want Izzo. You wouldn't win a title, but you'd go a few rounds further than you think you should.

Well, let me get real Nelson-esque:

The other conferences are conspiring to destroy the BXII. They don't want to share profits. Any surprise Baylor and TCU were left out of the Football Championship?

It all adds up!

(/tin_hat)
Thats my thought!

Wow. They had that woman showing the "shocker" on the screen far a long time. Not sure the TV crew knew what was happening there.

I had Wichita State because Bill Self is Jim Boeheim, but looks better because he was in a worse conference all those years than Syracuse was when they were in the Big East.

Self has rode Mario Chalmers to a title and then flamed out far too early for the amount of talent he's had in so, so many seasons.

Self made 1 other title game, too, but of course couldn't beat Cal the second time. He got lucky the first!

Syracuse also made the title game in 1997, though.

<nelson>Wichita St winning is the worst thing that could happen to UConn, I need to figure out a reason why so I'll get back to you soon but refs and P5 are involved</nelson>

Wichita State to the B1G
Their football team disbanded in 1986...but it won't take much to get them up to B1G standards...and doesn't the B1G need a traveling partner for Arizona State hockey?

Makes perfect sense.

Yes, the B1G will invite Wichita State for football and hockey but not basketball and invite ASU for hockey only, and BU for football only to balance it all out.

@ESPNStatsInfo: Kansas has 6 first-weekend losses as a Top-2 seed, most in NCAA Tournament history
Another one I picked to lose instinctively based on past failures. I had no idea Wichita was that good though. They are fun to watch. I have them advancing to the Elite Eight so I hope they send ND (who I had going down to Butler) home.
