How did they do that? They have us playing a team that everyone here believes sucks in an 8-9 game, and put Xavier in.
Sorry, I didn’t watch, and didn’t see Xavier was in. I just saw 2 BE teams in each of 2 brackets. Didn’t know why they felt we needed to stay together.

They're very good but I don't trust a team that takes bad shots and can't make FTs or 3's
Kansas can absolutely beat them. Not saying they will, but it’s a bad matchup for St. John’s. Also revenge game for Zuby.

Naturally my bracket needs to have a UConn vs Kansas elite 8 matchup. Honestly, if they get past the 1&2 it’s certainly plausible. TT is overrated. Memphis is meh. Maryland might be the most dangerous team left.

Shocked former providence coach has first 2 games in...providence

Shocked that 2 former kentucky coaches could face off in 2nd round

I think Maryland might be the 2nd best team in the our bracket. But some team is going to clip them at the buzzer.

So Big East was getting three teams in this season, huh?

Sorry, had to bring it up.

When I said the Big East could land 5 teams, the moaners and the metrics geeks gave me their infamous laughing gif.

I'm happy with 5, but the seedings are piss poor

UNC in
UK a 3
KU a 7
Marquette better seeded than us

Auburn isn't the 1 overall either

That's just scratching the service

I mean, we're higher on the s-curve than Creighton...so I don't think it matters that Marquette is higher than us.

Big East was treated fairly outside of Creighton having to play Louisville in Lexington. Last year Big East was royally screwed, it's the only time they've been royally screwed.
Maybe they didn't like Neal's dunk! Hope Louisville crushes them

Florida is very good. Definitely the 1-seed I wanted to play the least.

That said, Raleigh vs. Florida isn't quite the home court it is for Duke, and we usually travel pretty well. Also, while they have been on a roll, they've lost to Georgia in the last month, a team I'd suggest is a rung below us (despite getting a 9), so they're absolutely beatable.

Will they beat Florida? No. Probably not.
I saw some Forida highlights, they don't play defense like SJU or Creighton. They just get out in transition. I don't think they will get that many shots like they got Vs Bama against us. We need to control the pace of play.

ESPN talking heads pretty much went all chalk with 1-2 seeds making the final 8.
Almost all had 4 #1 in the final4, which rarely happens.
And Florida as the winner

Speaking of jokes we have the clowns at espn who all three of their idiots went complete chalk to the elite 8. Thank god they pay them and call them experts for that depth of knowledge they bring to table

Kentucky beat 5 top 10 KenPom teams this year, includng Duke, Florida, and Tennessee twice. 3 seed is fine (like 90% of the brackets on the matrix had them as a 3).

They didn't lose a single game against a team that wasn't in at least the comittee's first four out.

Well we did make our own bed with the Nova, Seton Hall, and Colorado losses so cant say the regular season is meaningless. Let’s just beat Oklahoma then we worry about Florida. Just win the Seton Hall game and we’re probably a 7 seed oh well.
