One of the less controversial fields in my memory. I can make a modest case for Boise over SDSU, but do not consider Boise's exclusion to be particularly significant. WVU did not deserve a bid either.

I could make a case for Creighton to be more like a 6 or 7 seed given that several of their losses occurred with Ashworth or Kalkbrenner out or playing hurt, but apparently this year injuries don't matter, so fine. The Big East got 5 bids. What they do with them from here is up to those teams.

1. The amount of whining here is pathetic. We talked about it for a few weeks. We were on the 8/9 line. It will take our A game to beat Florida. Guess what? It would also take our A game to beat any of the ones or twos. That's the nature of the tournament. As @AntG168 said we don't have to beat Florida in a 7 game series. Just for 40 minutes. Scared of playing them? Go find something else to do. Have some pride.

2. For the people who though the BE got screwed...what is wrong with you? As @superjohn said, no they didn't, with the exception of Creighton, who has to play an 8 seed in a road game. I thought Xavier deserved to get in, but they could have easily been left out. The seeds were all about what we predicted.

3. I think Oklahoma is a good team, but there are better teams that could have been a 9.

4. If, if we can get to the Florida game, I think we will play well. All the pressure shifts to the 1 seed, especially with the idea of ending the streak of the two time champ. We keep that game close, and we will see what kind of moxy Florida has.
I agree on the Big East seeding. I would like to have seen UConn/St. Johns/Creighton/Marquette in different regions. That's my only gripe. Having UConn/St. Johns and Marquette/Creighton in the same regions is a bit surprising. Otherwise, 5 Big East teams all seeded where we thought is fine by me.

As for the Florida game, if we make it there, we will have to play really well and get some help from them. The way you beat them is get them in a tight game. Make them execute with the pressure on in a tight lower scoring game. UConn will need to use their offensive scheme to work clock and slow the game down. I can't worry about that game until after the Oklahoma game.

Positivity is the only way. If you don’t believe you have no shot. And yes we can look ahead at other possible games. It will have no affect on our game against OK. That’s the fun in the bracket. Lighten up. No one believes anyway. No pressure
Surely you must have several more answers. Please, don't hold back. I'm picturing a toddler at the beach eating mouthfuls of sand.

Beat Oklahoma, and ensure that UConn completes the year with a winning record against the SEC.

Florida holds the distinction of being Dan Hurley's first ever P5 true road game victory.

The Big East seeding was fair. They even got five into the tourney.

UConn is on the 8 line, if it beat Creighton would probably have jumped to 7 line ahead of Kansas, marquette, Missouri. If it won the Big East tourney, I think a case for a No. 6. But they lost in the semifinals. UConn's an 8 and deservedly so. .

As far as lack of respect for Big East...The conference is terrible in the bottom half. Seton Hall, Providence, Butler, DePaul were bad.

The size of the league is also an issue. I think we are going to see these teams expand. The SEC got in 14 teams, while the Big East only has 11 teams. I think conferences are going to have to get to 20 for hoops. These smaller conferences playing home and homes is just killing the metrics.

Huskies with 8 games in conference against bad teams this year.

The good news is that 32 teams will be eliminated already. So it’s like we advanced a round.
That's an F-U to UConn fans. But then again West Region games are being played in Providence. So what do I know.

Too many folks assuming we will slide by OU. One game at a time. OU has Fears who is great at penetrating and drawing fouls and multiple better than 40% three pint shooters. So, their strengths on offense are where we stink on defense. Doomed for sure!

Thanks Seth. Picked us to lose to OK.
I think Dan Hurley would love that we are picked to lose and would absolutely use it as motivation. So, I say, "Thanks, Seth!"

Anybody who still thinks there is a P5, last year should have cleared that up. The Big East is viewed roughly like the MVC now. There is a P4 and nobody else needs to apply to their tournament. They threatened to do their own thing and the NCAA listened.
So what is the ACC viewed as? They only got 22% of their teams in. The only reason the Big East didn’t get six in was because Nova blew it in the non-conference. The reason the league got a 7,8, and 9 seed was due to poor performance from the top 4 teams in the league OOC.

Only compaison I can make is to UConn in 2011 when the Big East was considered the best conference ever that season. UConn 2011 we beat 9 ranked teams before the tournament, won the conference tournament and finished 26-9 to get a 3 seed. Kentucky beat 8 ranked teams but only beat 1 team in the conference tournament and finished 22-11 to get a 3 seed.
They were a 4.

Every BE team with at least 21 wins in the regular season since realignment has made the field.

I expect the field to expand to 76 next year, and that number to decrease to 20 wins going forward.

He's having some fun, I'm OK with that. Remember he's talking to one of the most frustrated fan bases in the country, horrible for nearly 25 years and still with no national titles. Still have less Big East titles than us despite spotting them the 1980s and going to another conference for 7 years

For New Yorkers, that's hard to take.

Let them have some fun

Here's my first stab at the bracket. Feels a little chalky and might make some adjustments...

This might be the worst resume I've ever seen for a tournament team. People complaining about North Carolina should look at Texas. Simply awful. Bad OOC (they did barely squeak out a win over juggernaut Syracuse) then proceeded to do almost nothing but lose in conference.

ACC had some interesting placements. Louisville as an 8 and Clemson as a 5 were both vastly underrated compared to their AP poll rank, though I don’t disagree with it. But UNC as the last team in when the chair is the UNC AD raises some eyebrows. Almost as if the ACC used all their leverage for UNC and said it screw it to the other ACC teams. They that being said, not many deserving teams on the other side of the bubble.

SEC and Big Ten both vastly overrated in terms of seeding. Cant wait to plow through both these leagues.
