They were a host in 2015 and pulled in 5800, which isn't bad, but clearly this year the B10 title & Gustafson pushed the fans to come out.

Plum's Sr. year really pushed attendance for UW. Started really picking up around the mid point of the season and continued into the 1st and 2nd round Tourney games they hosted. Only sellout in school history for a women's game was against Stanford that year and they pulled in about 8000 and 7500 for the 2 Tourney games they hosted. One player really can make a tremendous difference.

That was the year Duke men's and women's were playing the same afternoon...... not that Duke ever drew alot of fans for women's tourney home games.

Dude dont mess me with me and my stats.

First, the 2017 number is the two-day average.
Second, Duke 2015 two-day average: 2503, 11th worst.

Better crowd in Storrs, but still disappointing. The crowds looked and sounded bigger than the reported numbers. Whatever happened to the constant 10,167?

South Carolina played "at home," but that was in Charlotte, about 80-100 miles away. They draw much better in Colonial Life Arena.
I would guess most UConn fans are traveling at least 30 miles for these games and many are traveling much farther.

I dont go to first and second round games anymore..... went to the men's opening games in 1999..... felt like i missed too much of the action. Would rather just stay at home and watch all the games on TV. The wcbb regionals are different. I've been to every regional held here in Greensboro..... once in Raleigh.

I will be very disappointed if attendance isn't near a sellout tonight, given that a Sweet 16 berth is at stake.

Even worse tonight = 2683

The Triangle is just an attendance black hole

Iowa had a sellout today in their battle with Mizzou. Official attendance - 12,376.

UConn attendance a little disappointing.
The attendance was up 2000 for Sunday's game.

I'm a little disappointed w/ Oregon St.'s attendance. They didn't get to host last year, you'd think that would inspire them to fill the arena this year when they got the opportunity. Also their men's team isn't playing in the post season so people weren't staying home to watch them on TV. It looked fairly full and sounded loud on TV, but Gill holds about 9600 according to wikipedia. They've prided themselves on leading the Pac 12 in attendance for a number of years but UO outdrew them by almost 1500 for these opening round games.

Some complacency. Some frustration with a team that doesnt play as beautifully as previous teams have. And schedule times. With a huge portion of the fanbase 30-90 minutes away, 6:30 on a Friday is not easy. And 7pm on Sunday pushes things kinda late.

2 day average:
2015 = 3576
2016 = 5050
2017 = 6972
2018 = 7556
2019 = 5275
Add in the highest prices of any location and you’re almost there.

I’m surprised about the CT attendance. I tried to buy tickets and the only seats available on line were ones that were less desirable. If half of Gampel was truly empty, there is a disconnect between what was offered for sale and what should have been available.

I bet Portland and Albany are sell outs!
While I’d love to see a sellout tomorrow in Albany, I doubt we’ll get one. The TUC holds 15,229 for basketball. Considering that the attendance was 8765 for the Sweet 16, I don’t believe we’ll see another 6500 fans show up tomorrow.
