UConn Women's won their very first NC in 1995.....in Minneapolis

Hearing Dorka, on the floor, crying, made me cry. I expected this game to be close but wow. I want them to go all the way, of course, but don't need any more from this great group of players--this was so inspirational. So much heart in these young women, so much strength.

My heart went out to DORKA , what a soulful, primal cry... Go for

I recorded and started watching at like 9:30 but I kept fast forwarding through it because I couldn't bear to watch. Then I just skipped to the end, only to find... the game was still going on (end of first OT). And I couldn't fast forward anymore!

I just had to apologize to my boyfriend; he came downstairs for a snack with 30 seconds left in 2OT and I was like "No, you are bad luck, go upstairs now" and then he said okay just let me get my snack, and NC state scored and I was like "look what you did!" But he was upstairs when they won so I'm pretty sure I was spot on about the luck factor.

Would you make sure he stays away next weekend?~))

They literally showed what I can only assume is her jumping up and down out of excitement at NC St hitting that 3 to tie. Makes me even happier knowing we still won.

That was one of the best games I have seen. NC State would not go away. Both teams deserved to win, but I am very relieved it was UConn. #bleedblue

That was an incredible game. .So many twists and turns. With 13 seconds left and up by 3 I was yelling at the screen for UConn to foul but nope gave up the tying 3. In the end it mattered not, what a great game.

Cunane kept asking the ref (our friend Benny Luna) for a foul and he finally accommodated her. However, the refs were good overall and I have no complaints

The refs were at best mediocre, but they made good and bad calls equally on both teams.

It's so hard to come back from losing a lead at the end of OT; so proud of this team's resilience. I am absolutely spent now and might just go watch the parts of the game I fast forwarded through before.

They also need to practice when to foul, and when not to foul! ( e.g. three point shooters)
