@AdamZagoria: NBA scout on Alex Oriakhi:"He's as strong as three strong men and he can really rebound and high FG percentage b/c he never takes a bad shot

Take it for what it's worth ...

Sure, he scores sometimes when he is able to catch the ball in the post. His catch % is like 30% though.

I kind of hope Oriakhi gets taken in the lottery just because it would be hilarious to read some of the posts here.

I hope he gets drafted....... seriously. The Red Claws need a Center to go with Fab Melo. Josh Selby is cleaning up in Portland :). Oriakhi is a perfect Second Rounder for the Celts.\\

I don't wish him any ill will at this point. Now it's his livelihood at stake. I can't say I was pulling for Missouri to make a deep run in the tourney, though.

For real. Besides his stone hands he was a pretty integral part of our championship run. Don't let his bad exit represent his entire stay at UConn, aka the Brett Favre effect.

That would be great except they don't have a second rounder...

Huh? He was the best big man in the Final Four of 2011. JC doesn't get his third title without him. I hope he makes the NBA.

He never takes bad shot because he can't catch the ball to take one.

Quite frankly, Alex is a strong guy who too often doesn't leverage his strength to his advantage and is not explosive. He definitely has poor hands. However, he has had moments when he rebounds very productively.

Early in his career his lower body strength was poor but I think that has marginally improved. Alex was a decent student and I thought a good guy but something happened his last season. I think he was very frustrated with Bazz not passing to him (from his perspective) and splitting minutes with Tyler. Then he went down the wrong path both for the team and himself.

AO is a really good rebounder, or atleast had moments where he exhibited that. Just an unfinished product offensively , even after 4 years.

Lol, shut up. The guy was the 3rd best player on a national title UConn team.

I have no love for oriakhi but some of you guys are really just psychotic.

Without Shabazz allowing Kemba to play off the ball, we wouldn't have nearly been as good, the extra ball handler was crucial
