Well Tatum totally blew that game in the clutch. Multiple times. Obviously a super talented kid but he's a couple years from being ready for these moments. He had 3 or 4 opportunities to close and blew it.

Kemba plays an average game on Friday and the Celts should get it.

I guess that’s one way to look at it. You could also say that Miami stole this game. I’m not sure the takeaway after tonight would be that Miami is somehow in the driver’s seat.

Looked like two evenly matched teams tonight, despite an abysmal outing from Kemba. Should be a fun 6 or 7 game series.

Tatum is not a superstar. They need to stop that talk. Brad Stevens should not have taken Kemba out on that defensive possession. Kemba is the only guy on this Celtic team that knows how to close games down the stretch and create separation.

Miami is a good team. Kemba needs to be the guy leadership wise and through his play if they are to escape Miami in this series not Tatum.

Stevens deciding to take the air out of the ball with 4-5 minutes left cost the Celtics this game, and then he proceeds to draw up some of the worst late game plays in recent memory. He never gets any criticism as a coach, but he should.

No one is saying that. But I put that late-game debacle on the coaching staff as much as I do Tatum.

just like the end of the last series he is playing way too tentative. all he seems to have confidence in at this point is the midrange stepback.
