I know UK fans are finally turning on him, but I don't understand how they even let Calipari breathe for how he underutilized Devin Booker. Cal threw away a title that year.

Cal has coached Fox, Murray, Booker and Maxie, and has one title to show for it. Calipari may be one of the most underachieving coaches in the history of any sport.

Nick Nurse fired. I am not a big Nick Nurse fan, but Toronto is not great and usually a title winner gets a little more leeway. Seems like there is some bad blood between Ujiri and Nurse.
 
The Nurse move was not a surprise.

This Knicks/Cavs game is setting back the game a few decades.

Spoelstra, Pops and Kerr, obviously
J.B. Bickerstaff, Tyronn Lue, Mike Brown and Joe Mazzulla are all pretty good.
Rivers and Snyder are decent.
I think Mark Daigneault has done an excellent job on Oklahoma City.

That is probably my Top 10 in the NBA in some order.
 
Not sure what the Wolves are doing to Jokic. His arms are covered with scratches.

Embiid and Antetokuonmpo both gimpy, and no dominant team in the West. Things are breaking well for the Celtics.

I dislike defending Cal, but he had almost all of them for just 1 year. So this is just as much a criticism of the 1-and-done philosophy.... which Cal choose to do. So still on him.

I think they rested Embiid because the Sixers were up 3-0. Celtics needed to sweep, need to at least finish off the Hawks in 5, Sixers have a week of rest now while the Celtics have to play 2 more games.

I don’t think the rest matters that much for round 2, particularly for teams with as much depth as the Celtics. The conference finals and finals are when you really see the wear and tear take it’s toll on teams.

Assuming the Celtics get past the Hawks, it feels like it all comes down to how well Harden plays. I expect Embiid to do Embiid things against Horford and Rob Williams, but the Sixers will need Harden/Maxey to be great to win that series.

maxey does not disappoint. harden has the most to prove as a former mvp. he needs to get philly the conference finals minimum

Is Embiid 50% to be ready for the beginning of Round 2 because the Sixers were up 3-0 on the Nets?
 
Budenholzer is just a terrible playoff coach. One of the worst of the last two decades. Sure, the Bucks are missing Giannis, but the Heat are missing Herro and Butler missed a big chunk of the second half. Spoelstra has abused him this series, just like he did in 2020. Bucks need Giannis back.

worst coach name/nicknames - nick nurse & coach bud. imagine if andre was coached by coach bud?
 
Boston playing defense and rebounding for the first time all series. Wake up call that they can’t coast in the playoffs. Hawks are pretty tough and have hot shooters.

Boston hasn’t missed one good look they’ve gotten from three this series I swear. Their roster is crazy.
