what is the issue with Porzingis, what is the illness that he's had for a couple of months now?

Which is a flawed strategy, imo. Besides Pritchard, they are a below average 3-pt. percentage team. And, at the expense of losing a defensive mindset - they cant seem to do both regardless of what 1-trick pony Mazzulla says. They have been blowing 4th quarter leads to good teams all year, not just this series. They have more team talent than all teams, but their scheme levels the playing field to inferior teams like the Knicks.
That's just not true at all. They're #9 in 3PFG% despite taking more than anyone else, and Hauser, Pritchard, Porzingis, White, Horford all shoot above the league average with Holiday and Tatum just below

Some type of upper respiratory virus that he can’t seem to shake.

This is the vintage Jokic game I've been waiting for. 19-9-3 in the first half (could have been twice as many assists).

Well Jokic did everything he could tonight. Murray disappeared in the fourth quarter and nobody else did anything all game. Dude needs better teammates.

I thought it was a mistake by Adelman not to get Jokic a 2-3 minute blow when they had the double digit lead at the end of the third quarter. While it didn't stop him from making some ridiculous shots down the stretch, he was clearly gassed by the fourth quarter and cost them defensively and on the boards.

In his defense, their bench is putrid and could have very easily squandered the lead in that span. But we've seen this approach fail at least three times now with Jokic in their last two playoff runs. He's 6'11, 280 and can't play an entire half like he's Steph or Durant.

It’s not over yet but it’s kind of over

Where do the Nuggets go from here? All their money is tied up in their top 4 and just those 4 guys are pretty close to the second apron

Feels like their only options are to keep running it back until someone leaves, or trade MPJ for role players and depth pieces

Improve the bench. It can be done. Some of it is just good drafting. Or finding an inexpensive veteran who wants to win. Can't win in the NBA with a short rotation over a full series anymore. The regular season is so soft, guys taking lots of time off and lots of plays off. No plays off in the playoffs and it really tests your depth.

I think there'll be significant improvement from Watson, Strawther and Pickett next year under Adelman. He's been much more impressive than Malone, who was very overrated.

Holmes being healthy should help, too. And they'll have about $8m under the second apron, which means they should be able to get a useful veteran ring-chaser (or get Bruce Brown back).

Adelman gambled and lost, probably should have sat Jokic the last 3 minutes of the quarter and risk OKC closing the gap heading into the fourth to hopefully have some more juice in Jokic's legs to close the game out. Nuggets had control of both of these past 2 games but then had no gas left in the 4th quarter.

No Tatum and still a dbl digit 3rd quarter lead for Boston, now will they be able to hold on. Kornet has given them great minutes tonight with Porzingis not being able to give them anything.

Warriors expectedly go out sad after Steph went out

I know Kuminga is in the doghouse (Twitter rumors say it’s because he’s a ballhog and didn’t get Steph the ball enough), but just thinking about it. He averaged more points in less minutes than Jimmy did after Steph went out. 24 efficient points per game in games 2-5

They won in 2022. Now Klay, Wiggins, Poole, and a good chunk of depth is gone. Poole got run out of town and now Kuminga is getting run out too. How much young talent can GSW afford to sacrifice to go all in on the group of 35+ year olds chasing glory from 3 years ago?

Since that ring, they have a 6th seed, a 10th seed, and a 7th seed. Two second round losses and a year missing the playoffs

You can’t waste Steph’s window, but he’s 37. The window is closing soon and after they kick out Kuminga, they have no young talent to take over. Where do they go from here? Run it back one more time with Steph and Jimmy?

The window is closed. Just like LeBron's. Neither of them are getting another ring.

Kornet legacy game was not on my bingo card
He's been the best big on the roster since January. I don't understand why Joe doesn't play him. I guess because it means he can't go 5 out, but the Celtics have been beyond desperate for rim protection and rebounding. Al is like 50% of what he was last year in that regard. Al is one of my favorites, but he looks done. KP looks like he has narcolepsy or something, like he constantly needs a nap.

Great win for Boston. Hope they can eliminate the Knicks in 7, even if they have no real shot against the Pacers.

If you're a Thunder fan(I'm not) you have to be terrified at the possibility of game 7 JDub/Chet, they are way too up and down
