Yup. Newton's visit concluded on a Sunday, and it was announced Wednesday. Not sure if Alleyne stayed overnight last night...but I imagine either way we would hear something by Friday or Saturday.

It's like getting a job offer. The verbal offer over the phone is great, but then you need to wait a couple days for HR to sort things out. There's a slight chance something can go wrong when transferring (aka, some credits not transferring over which will delay graduation). Why announce it before you are 100% certain with the all clear?

I’m sure most of that work is done before the visit. They aren’t going to waste time hosting a kid who won’t be eligible.
