Mullins/Reed Status?

Well hopefully Reibe can build on the progress he made against Arizona. Stewart too, I liked his defense and his high release makes his 3 ball really hard to defend.

I still don’t follow what you’ve run out of patience about over the last season and change. Referencing Mora saying playoffs implies it has to do with us making the tourney but that obviously doesn’t add up
He is telling us to have patience just report that he has no idea when we get these players back. It had no reference to making or not making the tournament. But I guess you are not frustrated that our two best players have injuries and we have no idea when they will play again. This is the same guy that said Mullins is a quick healer.

The Mora reference was not perfect but he said it out of frustration about being asked a stupid question.

UConn fans should be frustrated as we have no idea and our program has a history of keeping this information close to the vest and having no idea tends to frustrate most people. Is it really that complicated……

If he knows nothing he should not be giving advice……but I guess you see it much differently.

the opponent being off balance is more important than placating impatient/demanding fans. As far as Zona knew Reed was playing. It’s not like the nfl where you have to be fully transparent with injury and practice status. The nba certainly doesn’t do it either. But what difference does it make to you anyways, would you have made other plans and not watched upon hearing Reed wasn’t playing?

Only reason to need to know is gambling purposes IMO.

UConn fans that are this angry are strange. We have nothing to be this angry about. You aren’t owed information on a kids health. Just watch and fan. They’ll play when they’re healthy.

As far a Mullins is a quick healer comment, his original estimated return was 2 weeks from now. Back by Illinois of Kansas would constitute a quick healer .

So it doesn't bother you the least that we have now had players with high ankle injuries? Also Mullins timeline was probably extra, extra, cautious. You are probably just a casual fan, which is fine.

It’s basketball…ankle sprains happen…no clue what you’re implying. That guys at UConn are more prone to ankle sprains because we’ve had 2 this season? What could UConn possibly be doing to cause them? We all saw what happened to Reed a BYU player undercut him

Guy, all you do is bitch and complain. Believe it or not being the whiniest dude on a message board doesn't make you a better fan than anyone else.

Did McNeeley not have one last season? 3 in less than year, and im trying to find other good teams that have had 1.

Like I just said Reed’s happened during a game...and so did Liam’s. so your conspiracy is based on Mullins spraining his ankle during a practice

The opponent being off balance, lol. They will prepare that they are playing, and then will adjust if not. Impatient/ demanding fans, lol I guess you are the perfect fan. I want to see our best players out there that give us the best chance to win in these big time games. If Reed is not ready for Illinois, after it being said he was day to day, I will be upset.

Yeah keeping Bryant off balance was a brilliant strategy.

What are you suggesting?? That Dan Hurley has the team running drills every practice that weaken their ankles! It’s asinine
All im saying is that 3, is quite a bit. It would be one thing if other teams were having these ankle injuries, and then it could be, ok its just happening with other teams too, but Im not seeing it with other teams and again 3!

So it is what you’re suggesting

3 is over two years is not even close to statistically significant. It's bad luck.

Or as others have asked, what are you suggesting? Are we doing something wrong? Practicing too hard (I don't think you'll ever see a coach say they have to practice at a lower level to prevent injury).

But you keep saying 2 or 3 is a lot and suggesting it's an issue with something. Just want to know what your theory is for what's happening to make it an issue.

Oh so you think they are misdiagnosing high ankle sprains and keeping the players out unnecessarily. Well why didn yku just say that to begin with.
All I know is im not seeing all these injuries with other teams and I do think UConn is overly protective of their players maybe thinking of their future and NBA aspirations.
