Wanting to go to UConn should not be enough - ever. Has anyone come here that didn’t want to?Two things.
1)I've watched more than enough Uconn Football to say that he can compete with anyone currently on the roster given an opportunity. How he performed coming off the bench against a top 4 Iowa team on the road should have little baring on whether he can win the job on a team whose only victory came against an Ivy League School. Right now your options are Krajewski and a one legged Tyler Phommancah.
2)He may actually want to go to Uconn.
Both of those reasons should make him an appealing potential option.
Was just going to say we need a qb who can beat Central and UMASS. Posters upset a backup qb with limited reps struggled against a top ten team. A little bit of self awareness here.Sean Clifford who started the last three years at Penn State looked just as bad against #3 Iowa FYI.
If posts 255 and 256 do not sum up this whole recruiting thing, I do not know what does.
If he was at PSU and it didn't work out and wants to come here, then good. I think it would be great to have another QB here. That being said I think TP is the QB going forwardYeah, it sure does. Some people make judgments based on what they see on the field. Others still give weight to how players were rated, or projected by coaches, coming out of high school.

God help this program if a one legged QB with a completion % under 49 is the QB going forwardsIf he was at PSU and it didn't work out and wants to come here, then good. I think it would be great to have another QB here. That being said I think Tyler Phommachanh is the QB going forward

The clip v. Iowa? I did. He did not look good.Did you watch it?

He was offered by this staff - are you saying this new staff is a poor judge of talent? That would not bode well for next year and beyond.
I’m also going to go out on a limb and trust our coaches ability to evaluate talent over yours.I hope you are wrong. Because this qb is terrible. Maybe he is just for depth, but we need better.
Didn't he play in 1 game?I hope you are wrong. Because this qb is terrible. Maybe he is just for depth, but we need better.
If he can run and take a hit it would be a good fit
Like half of one game against a top ten team. He had to be just thrown in after the starter got hurt. No way you can extrapolate his play based on that. The scheme wasn’t based on his style of play at all.Didn't he play in 1 game?
Even better going to OklahomaEvers and Gibson Fla. became available Gibson held a offer from Uconn
Even better if they both end up at Oklahoma!!No, with all due respect, it was jibberish.
Ask this question who is following them?If nothing else, based on Twitter follows, Mora and Charlton are communicating with QBs in the portal gauging interest. I've seen them linked to (at least these, maybe more) the following on Twitter:
Jacob Zeno
Tommy Devito
Harrison Bailey
Myles Brennan
Carter Bradley
Gunnar Holmberg
Navy Schuler
Ta'quan Roberson - offered
Bo Nix
And now Zach Calzada
As well as other lower level QBs that aren't worth the mention on 247s tracker.
Yeah, following the coaches is harder to track. I'm not at Twitter savvy as some others so I'm not sure how to easily tell if any of those QBs are following the coaches back. (The coaches follow fewer people and I'm more in tune with where their new follows pop up on the list.) But I do believe that Mora and Charlton are casting a wide net on this.Ask this question who is following them?

Quick stalking > DeVito, Shuler, Zeno and Bradley all have mutual follows with UConn staff. (I didn’t check deeply on all).Yeah, following the coaches is harder to track.
