I personally think Ionescu is being a little too tentative offensively. Every time Danberry is on her she should attack.

Am I the only one who thought Coach Schaefer was close to 70 years old? He is only 57

Whoever McCown covers is going to have to work off of Oregon's high post action all night, no matter what Vic does.

McCowan leads w/ the elbow and clobbers Hebard

.-.
The refs are giving Oregon some home cookin'.

Are we serious here? Hebard is hitting McCowan with a forearm the entire time. Teaira turns and her elbow is the same level as Hebard’s face. NOTHING.

.-.
AEH got in 'unseen;. 2 quick misses and back to the bench.

She isn't ready yet. She isn't consistent on offense and doesn't provide defense like Danberry, Taylor or Holmes does

Cazorla on the drive again. Where has that been all year?

Waiting For Sabrina (Godot).

.-.
Cazorla is a master at rejecting the high ball screen.

Kelly finally switched defensive players on Howard.

I thought it was a foul on McCowan on the first watch. I thought it could have went either way on replays.

Unsportsmanlike is just a joke. If that's what the rule says to do, fix the rules.
If I had to make a split second decision I might have called it on either player. Announcers were right: that play is just 6’7 going up strong and someone invading her space. Griner used to get called for stuff like that and Mulkey used to say “she’s 6’8! Everything she does is above the shoulder.” The same can be said of McCowan.

I'm a bit torn. Back in the day if the defense was crowding you, clearing some space with the elbow was just part of basketball. But that era is long gone.

.-.
Good TO by Vic. McCowan looking a little tired and frustrated, Oregon pulling away. MSS typically misses shots. They just rebound for second chances. Not tonight.

This isn't quite like Brown for Baylor against Stanford, but McCowan is definitely looking big and slow and not able to keep up with the pace of the game. Maybe Pac 12 teams are kryptonite for aircraft carrier post players this year.

What a great crowd for the Ducks. Glad to see the strong turnout for this game. And I'm glad ESPN is covering it despite the late start time.

There is an open player every high post screen and roll by Oregon.
