Is Matharu in the doghouse? Surprised to see Mingo Young in there instead

Rickea Jackson: **wide open with the ball**

Jessika Carter: **double-teamed**

Rickea Jackson: passes to Carter

Jesus Rickea. You are wide open with a clean 6 foot jumper from the basket. Instead passes to a double teamed carter.

Miss St does not look like a top 10 team much less a top 20 team right now.

You mean to tell me Mississippi State's 49-point average MOV against scrubs might have been inflated?

Only 1 senior on states team. 2 juniors. Rest soph and freshmen. Lot of inconsistencies.

I am going to have make significant adjustments to my top 25

I was just looking at this. Keep in mind that Marquette's only loss is to an unbeaten Northwestern. If Marquette holds on, questions abound!

They're still going to win though. These underdogs rarely make the plays needed to win late against better squads.

Why has Matharu been on the bench the entire night?

She had a bad 3 minute segment, no worse than practically everyone else for MSU.

MSU will have a very good team by the end of the year but how Can you expect the team to grow playing a bunch of HS teams essentially the entire OOC slate? Its a disservice to those players and their development IMO.

First time they have played a team with a pulse and it showed.

Vic owes this one to the palms he greased in the NCAA to get Danberry eligible. She's been the difference maker by far here.

Danberry had 20 points, 4 assists and 7 steals. That's a ****load of steals in one game. And that doesn't even include all the other turnovers she caused with her defensive pressure.

Marquette did everything really well. The only reason why they lost this game was turnovers from out of bounds passes after made buckets by State.

Jessika Carter has 14 and 21. Now...imagine if she could actually make a shot.

Solid preseason game. Carter looks like McCowan 2.0....raw offensively but a monster on the glass (21 boards).
Danberry has been excellent too.

I think the Stanford matchup will be a good one. Neither team looks all that formidable but both have talented teams and good coaching.

74-68 MSST, Marquette shoot the light out. Hard to believe they are picked 9th in the Big East.

Happy she is not at UCONN anymore?

I don't really care one way or another. I just don't think she has yet become the player she was made out to be. When she left there was talk of her being a future star. Vic himself compared her to Vivians.
