Many a writer has had dissenting opinions from the masses in the past. It sells newspapers, generates Internet traffic, and this topic is still being discussed two full old world media cycles later. Methinks he did his job. Me also thinks his next column will generate a few more than a nominal amount of hits.

I agree, the Boneyard should never discuss the guy. Ignoring him would be the best revenge.

It sounds like Mr. DiMauro has a legitimate speech impediment, but saying he shouldn't be on TV is a little much. Bill Walton had a terrible stutter as a younger man, and he did the NBA on NBC for years. You don't think it frustrates a stutterer when they are in the midst of it? Believe me it probably does more than you listening.

No need really to apologize on my account (if that was your intent). I'm giving you my personal observations as a stutterer. You learn to deal with it (I used to be so much worse as a kid) and you have no choice but to have a certain sense of humor about it. You feel a sort of kinship to other stutterers.

I think it's okay to disagree with what Mr. DiMauro said. After all, he went against a UConn team in UConn country. I think his comments about the Boneyard were a little over the top, but he probably meant them to be taken as gross hyperbole. The issue is he has no control over how someone else will interprets his comments. It's like a Yankee Fan sitting on a bar stool at the Cask'n Flagon before Game 7 in 2004 saying the Sox have no chance to win the series. Well, they just won 3 in a row, they at least have half a chance, no?

That is my biggest issue w/ him. Everyone knows he pulls for BC, so when he says stuff like this he has to know he is going to be perceived as a troll. When people jump all over him his reaction is "hey just doing my job as a impartial journalist". If you are going to be a troll just admit you are going to be a troll. It bothers me that a CT newspaper pays for this guy to annoy the crap out of UConn fans.

I have no problems if someone like Jeff Jacobs writes a negative article about UConn. He is actually doing his job. When DiMoron writes one I just perceive him as having a vendetta against UConn and the fan base.

I give the guy major props for learning to deal with a speech impediment. That does not however, give him a pass for being a moron of the first order.

The only hope this guy has for relevance is to create some controversy, and he's trying. He's like the pain in the butt little kid tagging along when you were young. Ignore him long enough and he'll go away.

As for Joe Zone, who is he? He claims to have worked in New York, Chicago and somewhere else. As what, a sound guy? He hosts a sports show on CPTV that probably has it's viewership double when his Mom tunes in and he thinks he has the chops to look down on the Boneyard. Hey Joe, come back and talk to us after you accomplish something in your life.

Jacobs is still public enemy number one as far as I'm concerned. His personal vendetta against Coach Calhoun was repulsive.

Agreed. He couldn't hide his glee when the excess texting violations were announced. When people suggested that the Yahoo writers released that story shortly before a UConn NCAA tournament game to maximize exposure, Jacobs dismissed that and blamed UConn for not releasing information to the writers earlier.

And it's not just having a problem with Calhoun. He took shots at Stanley Robinson and Jasper Howard, also.
