Reed has physically transformed. Maybe even from a couple weeks ago. It’s not just the haircut. I think He’s played himself into the draft.

Reed has been a projected 2nd rounder all year, the question for him will he get a guaranteed deal or a 2way, he's a guaranteed guy imo. He fits too much into what is needed from a backup/3rd big

Wasn't it 6-6? 2 from Karaban and 4 from Reed. I was ready to kill them for the FT shooting during the game but they came up big down the stretch.

Btw, Karaban missing those 2 at Villanova last year might have been a blessing in disguise.

I truly have never been more confident in an upcoming 2-2 as I was with Karaban heading to the line last night.

Smith is one of a few players that can penetrate along the backline and feed a cutting player inside. Great to watch.

His all-Big East Center was also free for that shot and is a fine shooter from that distance. Zuby might have made it but wasn't given the chance when the point guard, who was having a poor shooting night, didn't give up the ball. I don't wonder for long knowing who is in Pinto's doghouse.

Duke is a much better match up for us than St John’s.

Solo and Braylon hit some big shots tonight - happy to see that.

Reed and Karaban were simply remarkable.

And lastly, I truly think it was one of Dan’s best coaching performances. Also impressed by his composure throughout the game.

What an awesome win!

One of the biggest shots of the game was Braylon’s three when MSU scored the first 7 points of the second half. Tarris then stole the ball and went in for a dunk. 4 minutes of everything going MSU’s way ended up with them only reducing the lead by 2 points.

Props to Izzo, I legit thought his team kind of sucked going into the season and it was confirmed when I saw the exhibition against UConn. Once again he made them a really good team. There's a ceiling on almost all of his teams but the guy always gets his teams in the mix. There's something to be said about pretty much always getting the most out of your teams and always having them playing their best ball at the end of the season. I will miss him whenever he decides to hang it up.

Taris has improved his stroke. You can see he was working on more arc for his FTs. His flat technique was the problem.

There's something to be said about pretty much always getting the most out of your teams and always having them playing their best ball at the end of the season. I will miss him whenever he decides to hang it up.

Lot's to be proud of with 5 homegrown starters, but if he portaled for a high end scorer/shooter, it could have been the difference between S16 and a deeper run. Solid at PG, C, SG/athlete, short on shooting.

Tarris always had a nice stroke.
