OT: Michigan is good

Michigan has some impressive margins of victory and whatnot but the best resume right now is Arizona with 5 wins vs Top 25 opponents including away vs us (even if we were limited by injuries). It will be interesting how Iowa State handles tough conference road games.

one of the worst last possessions you will ever see…

Michigan is human, bring them on
First, PSU called a timeout with the length of the court to go instead of getting it to half court, then calling a TO. 15 seconds left.
Then, they show no urgency getting into a set offense....because there WAS no set offense. They just let that kid roam around and chuck a prayer off balance three.

That's what they drew up in the huddle? Let Bobby take it and get out of the way? God awful last possession. Embarrassing.

Ever coach? Usually plays that are drawn up in a timeout blow up because of good defense. Then a player must create for himself. Situation like that, you want as few players to touch the ball and allow your best player to make a play

what part of those plays involve no passing or setting screens?

"dribble dribble dribble jack-a-3" has more to do with coaches caling the cliche "best player should make a play" than good defense stopping actual offense. That and kids wanting to play hero ball.

Go watch that last possession again. No urgency getting past half court, then watch the other 4 players. They're just standing there watching. There WAS no set.

Michigan is so good they would stomp 1999 Duke. This ncaa tourney will be the Michigan invitational like in '99 it was the Duke invitational.
And who ended up winning that year?

Any high school JV coach would design a play. It’s up to the players to execute. If one guy ruins the timing of the play, guy with the ball is on his own. If you think the play was to have the guy dribble around then hoist up a three you know less about coaching then I thought.

down by 3 and it looked like he tried to lean in to draw the foul while he was shooting a 3. I hate that tactic enough as it is but just focus on the shot. anyway, down goes michigan!

I’m not overly impressed by Michigan. They just lost at home to a team that is probably as good as Providence. Y’all need to calm down about Michigan.
