Michigan and Syracuse on the schedule?

AD is rocking it right now. This gets me so much more excited then Tulane and East Carolina year after year. I went to the last Michigan game in Ann Arbor and win or lose it's a blast. Independence is looking like a better and better move by the day.

Michigan and the Big Ten owe their development to New England schools. Can't be humble and do a home-and-home series?

I am a kind-of Michigan fan because they had the decency to play us in a home and home.

I like them because Ohio State is the devil. Plus cool uniforms and an awesome fight song.

Not from them or Ohio State. Probably not Penn state or Nebraska or Wisconsin. We can try with IU, Purdue, Minnesota....Maryland and yes, Rutgers I suppose. Northwestern would be interesting. Would like to pair those with hoops games.

love to see it - one of my greatest college memories was road-tripping with the boys to the Big House for the last time we played there - from 3am wrestling in the Denny's parking lot for the middle seat to tailgating with UM diehards on a golf course - looking forward to going back!

If only Shoemate hadn't fumbled.....................................could have won that game, right?
But it was dreadful watching our guys come out looking like they were holding each other up from stage fright rather than bursting out on to the field and leaping around. Maybe it meant nothing but it sure didn't feel like we were going to be aggressive.

Not everyone's a fan. However, in the comments the UM fanbase is all for the game. They'd rather have more home dates than hit the road for UCLA. That said, pretty weird that they dumped a UCLA road game for little old us.

That Michigan trip was one of the best road trips I ever had. Got a tour of Michigan stadium by the athletic director in charge of facilities and walked through the tunnel onto the field 4 hours before game time. Became a Michigan fan then and there and especially against Ohio State!!

Only thing that concerns me is the TV. I would have to think it gets announced within the next month or so.

Hopefully it's ESPN and SNY like I heard months ago.
Why ESPN? That would almost mean espn3 or espn+. Maybe FS2.

Not pleased with the Syracuse deal. I will be sending Benedict negative feedback soon.

Weren't we actually favored going into that game? Michigan wasn't a great team around that time but Denard Robinson destroyed us every which way that day.

Why is a 2 for 1 with Syracuse that bad? We need local rivals, Cuse is a P5 team, and it's not like we have a lot of football capital to work with.

Because.... They are a LOCAL RIVAL!

Filling dates, as long as it doesn't become a habit 2/1 with Cuse is fine. Anyone from either fanbase that wants to go to the game can find a ticket easy.

Maybe the 3rd game is at Yankee Stadium but as long a the Liberty games are small in number this kind of thing is fine.

... and if it was basketball you’d have a point.

Lock up as many P5 games as we can. We have a whole lot of holes to fill as an Indy. Just don’t make a habit of it.

I haven't seen the financials behind the Syracuse deal. But we can't turn a game down like that for two reasons. First, beating them helps recruiting. Second, playing them on the road helps our budget.

It's starting to look like we'll make more football money as an independent than we did as an AAC member, and we haven't even squared away a tv contract yet...

BS.

If we can get a home and home with the University of No Classes then we shouldn’t settle for less with Fruit U.
