The case that they tried to make was 'hell yeah we don't care about academics and we cheated our asses off, but those kids left school, and it is unfair to punish the current kids for these acknowledged bad acts. As I and other have often noted on the board, that hardly was our best position.

Has anyone seen what parts of the NOA have surfaced? Where is all the stuff that Yahoo reported? And color me surprised that the guy who is at Alabama (Panunzio) doesn't face any charges along with Haith, Hurtt, etc.

Yahoo get a scoop right, lol. That would be a first. They throw shit at a wall. The problem for schools is that usually 1% sticks and the NCAA goes out looking at it all and finds other stuff. Major problems have occurred when the coaches lie, even if they are later found to have been telling the truth (see UConn's assistant, who I believe is still out of a job).
