HEA announces a return to the 2014 playoff format. 6v11, 7v10, 8v9 in the opening round with 1-5 getting byes.

This is really bad because that means only a few teams will get air time. The teams in the bottom half of the league standings will never get on TV and that will kill their recruiting.

IMHO, Naas should be the team captain, not Pratt.

Pratt has been captain or shared the role for a couple of seasons now.

His overall temper on the ice and tendency to cause penalties, I think they're are other seniors who deserve a chance to lead this team to the later rounds of the playoffs.

Pumped for SAT. Playing St Francis Xavier @ 3pm like last season. DVR'ing SMU game.

When The Courant took Mike Anthony off the beat UConn hockey coverage took a trip into the s****er. Altavilla just goes through the motions and I find hisnwork lazy and uninspiring. Mike McMahon from College Hockey News does a much better job.

It will be interesting to see what UNH does this year in Umile's farewell tour...next season former UConn Assistant Mike Souza takes over as HC.

Good night for UConn and my alma mater (who just got a B1G sweep in the North Country). Impressed that UConn shook off the effects of the night before and just got down to business to get the W. Kinda like my teams this year.
