Ally oops pass to griner misses the mark, (not really an Ally oop, but close), and Augustus is shooting free throws.

Both teams shooting free throws well...and as soon as they say it, Seimone misses.

Griner with some GREAT defense but then gets double teamed and turns the ball over.

Seimone shooting again, misses the first.

Score is tied up at 71
 
Moore is guarding Taurasi, what a matchup!! If you missed this game, you have got to watch it!

Seimone is again shooting two and makes both!

Phoenix has gone cold from the floor, score is 73 - 71 with 1:47 to go

Lynx misses, and Maya fouls Diana who shoots and makes 2. All tied up again. 1:13 to go
 
Maya shoots over Griner for 2 to again take the lead!
 
You know, everyone is having a great game. I'm enjoying it because I really like both teams so whoever wins is good for me.

She certainly redeemed herself in this game. 9 points the other day was her lowest scoring output this year I think. She had 32 today.

And Maya guarding DT was something to watch. WOW.
 
Not a great game for Penny Taylor, she had foul trouble the whole game ending up with 5 and only 7 points. Dee and Dupree carried the Merc with some Grinder thrown in from time to time with 14 points and a few blocks. Maya (34), Seimone (23) and Lyndsey (17) did almost all of it for the Lynx. I thought that Brunson has more, but she had only 4. It looked like more.

Great game, fun game to watch.
 
72 of the Lynx's 82 scored by Maya, Lindsey and Seimone. They'll need more contributions from the periphery if they expect to win game 3. But this was one of the best playoff games I have ever seen. The emotion, drama, offensive AND defensive performances. It had everything.

I am so glad there will be one more game. These two teams provide must-watch TV.
 
Thank you, m'Lady for the running report. I was desperately trying to get the game on *(%&*)&^^% ILive, but all I could get was a bunch of rotten popups. I wasn't all that happy with the outcome, but maybe it is best to have another game. It sounds like this one left little to be desired from a fan's perspective, and WNBA needs all the positive advetising they can get. Game 3 promises to be a barn=burner.

You are very welcome. I will not be able to see the Tuesday game - unless it is at 10 pm which I am hoping. Still, I will miss some of it. It was fun to watch. You should never underestimate great teams who have a bad game. they will fight back for sure, and they certainly did today.
 
Wish I could see it. About all we have down here is futbol, futbol and more futbol. Sometimes tenis or beisbol. I don't think women's bball is much of a sell in Guate.

Think if Griner engages on offense like she did Friday, and in the very beginning of today's game, then the Merc will win Tuesday. If she doesn't then the Merc MIGHT win Tuesday. If Maya goes off, and Griner is absent on offense, then the Lynx will win. I'm going to the game - almost like a UCONN game!

Just loved the game. Fabulous. But I would never bet against DT if it's a must win game. Nonetheless, I hope the Lynx win on Tuesday.
 
A really great game! This is the WNBA Finals, whoever comes out of the East will get pummeled! The refs again proved they have no freaking clue! The worst refs of any sport in the world, are WBB refs! The refs calls should not have a say in who'll win the game and more and more they make calls that could determine the outcome! The frustration on the part of the coaches and players were boiling over! Lindsay Whalen just stared down a ref for over 30 seconds going into a time out! Brunson and Wright have to have more offense than they had today when they play game 3 in PHX.

I know several NBA players who would disagree! And, if you want really bad, take a look at FIFA! But that's nothing compared to the frustration NFL players and coaches endure!

It's really a shame that this is only gonna be a best-of-three series.

This is the highest level of women's hoops, and both teams are just a joy to watch. Three games just isn't enough to decide a victor.
