Meleek is a pretty good poker player-Keeping his cards close to the vest. By waiting longer to commit. He gets to see how rosters are being populated and which coaches are keeping a spot open for him where he can be featured.
OADs are playing a different game and can dictate their timeframes. NIL for OADs is controlled by them and their "advisors". Not the Programs.
Works both ways - by waiting he could lose his spot to favorable programs. If he had committed to UConn, could have been sitting in either Adams or Mullins spot, filling in behind McNeeley as a potential starter next year.
It’s all about what your priorities are. Right now with Cal and Tang as the only visits on his calendar, his would hint towards NIL. Is any 5 star going to KSt for anything other than NIL?
Meleek more than any other kid is a pretty open book and animated when interviewed. Not sure he’s a great poker player as a colorful and big personality.
For a kid that is one and done and who’s being mocked anywhere from 8 to 24, why wouldn’t you go to the place that gives you the best chance of lifting your stock the highest?
I didn’t see a lot of feedback on him at Wooten - meanwhile Bundalo, Mullins and Adams were highlighted. Anyone see anything?
