Good luck to Meleek - he’ll be fun to watch in his one year. Cal will probably underperform again, but based on his commitment speech winning isn’t what’s important to him, it’s playing alongside other pros. If ever the right fit for Cal.

Uh... paging Mr. Thomas, FYI UConn had 7 players drafted in the last two drafts, Kentucky had 5.

My guess is that UConn made a decision to move on. Between knowing his head is on the NBA, he’s OAD, going to OTE, probably decided on his visit that if he wasn’t ready to commit asap and show urgency he wants to be in, then not a fit. Instead he chose to scope out the NIL scene and other options, which he had every right to do.

This is all conjecture on my part based on the bits of info out there ;). Fairly weird recruitment process.
