Need the backstory before we'd even consider this kid.

Whaley won't require a scholarship if he wants to returnSolid backup plan for Burnett, to take Brown’s scholarship. I’m assuming Bouks scholarship would go to Whaley if he wants it.
UConn recruited him out of high school, not sure how seriously. With the lack of shooting on the team wouldn't be surprised if we reach out here
maybe in terms of being a one dimensional catch and shoot 3 point specialist, but Cross started nine games this year, ranked fifth on the team in points and fourth in rebounds and shot 20 for 50 from 3-point range(40%). much more productive as a freshman than polley was. polley was a nonfactor until his junior year.I think he has been described as a poor mans Tyler Polley
we offered him in 9/18. this article is from 1/19:Did we recruit him? Did he show any interest?
No real answers on Miami's Board but the general thought is he must have said he wanted to transfer. Also speculation that he came onto the floor for FSU game with mismatched shoes and when told to change he said IDGAF. Doesn't sound like a good coach/player relationship.

FIFY.At the risk of embracing stereotypes, everyBig Eastdook team needs a chippy 6’7” white dude who can bang 3s
Every time I see Mac McClung play I think "there goes the dukiest duke player to never have duked in the last decade".FIFY.
Come on man. 3s?! Anyone on the UConn basketball team can get at least 7s, no problem! At the risk of embracing stereotypes, every Big East team needs a chippy 6’7” white dude who can bang 3s

Because he's white? I don't think Duke has ever had a player like him before. McClung has a street game, very exciting player.Every time I see Mac McClung play I think "there goes the dukiest duke player to never have duked in the last decade".
