Yup, in this era of the NBA nobody is coming back that soon on an ACL, and when you consider college is like the pros these days and what he has at stake I just didn't see it happening this season.

Those ACL's take a couple of years. Maybe UConn could look for top players who bombed out one year after surgery on the bet they get back to their old selves in Year 2.

In today's game, it makes sense. It give you a chance to measure up against the field at a point in the season where your team has some identity.

True. But this is harder to watch than ever before. It just feels so different and not in a good way. Every player has a "former school" listed under his name. It's like I'm not really watching a complete team. I feel like I'm watching a bunch of ghosts

I don’t disagree it’s an issue. Chuck saying the fix is just for the NCAA to do something about it, even after someone explained that they need congress because they lose every court case, was the stupidity I was referring to.

St. John’s has played poorly in the noncon for the past 3 years. The perception part where they break against even mid-tier SEC teams while blazing through our conference still bothers me to no end.

Maybe this is how ACC schools felt when Duke won the conference in football despite losing to us in football.

Duke football is the St John of the 2025 football season. Duke football was 1-3 in their OOC with their only when against Elon. Duke got crushed by Illinois and lost to two G5 teams Tulane and UConn.

pitino's coaching style plays up in the big east with the pressure and psychological whipping. his unique ability is to pressure his players in a way that gets under their skin. but this takes some time to manifest.
