Say goodbye to that Rivals Nation pipeline. Was really looking forward to Reeves and possibly Duke, but that is just a fond memory at this point.

Not sure this was going to happen for us regardless.....

But makai can look at the roster and see jalen, rique, CV, and we are recruiting blake harris. He wants to be the main ball handler getting 25- 30 min a game next yr. Hw was going to get 10-15 here..maybe. He's a smary kid and saw the writing on the wall
He's not a smart kid if he thinks he's going to be the main ballhandler and get 30 minutes per game as a freshman. If that's his thinking he needs to be looking at schools in the MAAC.

Oz is not taking the news well...

I'm guessing we knew this was coming, hence the Harris recruitment. I actually don't think there's much of a drop off at all from MAL to Harris, if any. But we still gotta lock up Harris.
And waters. He looks like a baller and a leader with some attitude

Harris averaged 16 MPG on a solid EYBL team, MAL was the stud of the best Adidas Gauntlet and NEPSAC team. Harris is very good, but he is not MAL.

Obviously, Harris can fit into the 2 spot easier and is a very good talent, so I hope we land him. But it hurts to see our biggest signing go.

Good lesson for all head coaches out there, before just dropping a guy like yesterday's news. That's literally 3 departures strongly tied to Miller being shown the door. Don't discount the loyalty factor here - if I'm a recruit and a coach promised me this and that to get me to sign and I see how he just dumps a "trusted" longtime assistant and program guy like Glenn Miller, then I start to think maybe all those promises don't hold too much water anymore now do they?

The only way this mess gets better is "IF" Chill is able to snatch someone or two someones top tier to fill these holes.

What can we do? I suspect he saw something in Vital that affected things. If Vital progresses that's 2 sophomores on the depth chart with one junior. Perhaps he wants an easier road to floor time. I can't blame him. Guards are not that much a concern for me at least this coming season.

Vital isn't a PG. If he saw anything it was that the stud PG, Adams is definitely not gone to the NBA, and the other stud PG who was a class ahead of him, just had a medical redshirt. So MAL and Gilbert as essentially incoming freshman. Would either commit to a school that had the other coming in? No way.

We've got a two PG system, and I think he was probably cool playing with Gilbert as a soph, will Adams gone. Now he's slated to ride the pine.

Plans B, C, D, E and F are already in play, so I guess it's time for the plan G contingency.

Wake me when however many players we still have in October are ready to play.

I would prefer you change the word plan to preperation. Then i could respond with, preperations A through G were complete failures, but preparation H is good on the hole.

This has nothing to do with the AAC.

We fire one of the main guys to recruit him, then start to explore a 5th guard after Ollie promised him playing time.

The writing was on the wall, someone was leaving.

He loves Glenn Miller so much he's going to follow him to whatever mid major he ends up at. Gets to be with his favorite coach and get the ball for 35 minutes a night as a freshman. Sure he might be playing Siena but still

I doubt he leaves UConn for PC even though we were in his final three. One of the big boys must have been whispering in his ear....

Quite a few big boys (Kansas & Duke in particular) could use a true PG.

Oz seems weirdly happy makai is gone. Eithet he's gone off the deep end evidenced by his strange comments recently OR he knows something we dont. Im hoping its the latter
Seems like a different feeling around the program in general. Good riddance to the guys that don't want to be here. "It's 10 toes in not 5" I guess

guy should probably chill if he is gonna be the unofficial mouthpiece of the program

Any outside observer would surely say the program appears to be in a death spiral this week, not withstanding adding Chillious. So OZ, please tell us why it's not.
